N2  - Latar Belakang: Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit kronis kompleks yang
membutuhkan perawatan medis berkelanjutan untuk mengurangi komplikasi salah
satunya yaitu retinopati diabetik yang menjadi penyebab utama kebutaan keempat
di dunia. Pengetahuan dan sikap memiliki peranan penting dalam perilaku
kesehatan kepatuhan dalam pemeriksaan retinopati diabetik sebagai upaya untuk
melakukan deteksi dini retinopati diabetik.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan
menggunakan metode potong lintang yang dilakukan pada Mei-Juni 2023 kepada
pasien diabetes melitus yang berada di poli penyakit dalam RSUD Dr. H. Abdul
Moeloek. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi spearman.
Hasil: Subjek penelitian sebanyak 79 orang sebagian besar responden memiliki
pengetahuan yang baik 58,23%. Responden dengan sikap yang baik sebesar
62,03%. Kepatuhan responden melakukan pemeriksaan retinopati diabetik sebesar
75,95%. Hasil uji korelasi spearman antara pengetahuan dan kepatuhan dengan
nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi 0,648 dan sikap
terhadap kepatuhan didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05) dengan koefisien
korelasi 0,650.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan signifikan yang kuat antara tingkat pengetahuan
dan sikap pasien diabetes melitus terhadap kepatuhan pemeriksaan retinopati
diabetik di RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek.

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a complex chronic disease that requires
ongoing medical care to reduce complications, one of which is diabetic
retinopathy which is the fourth leading cause of blindness in the world.
Knowledge and attitudes have an important role in health behavior compliance in
diabetic retinopathy examinations as an effort to carry out early detection of
diabetic retinopathy.
Methods: This research is a descriptive analytical study with a cross sectional
study conducted in May-June 2023 performed to diabetes melitus patients at the
Internal Medicine Polyclinic at Dr. RSUD. H. Abdul Moeloek. Data analysis
using spearman correlation test.
Results: The subjects of the study were 79 people, most of the respondents had
good knowledge 58,23%. Respondents with a good attitude amounted to
62,03%.The complience of respondents conducting diabetic retinopathy checks
was 75,95%. The results of the Spearman correlation test between knowledge and
compliance obtained a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05) with a correlation
coefficient of 0.648 and attitudes towards compliance obtained a significance
value of 0.000 (p<0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.650.
Conclusion: There is a strong significant relationship between the level of
knowledge and attitudes of diabetes mellitus patients towards compliance with
diabetic retinopathy examinations at RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek.
