Jumlah siswa yang menjadi populasi adalah 191 orang, yang terbagi menjadi enam kelas, yaitu kelas VIII.1 hingga VIII.6. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa-siswi kelas VIII.6 yang terdiri dari 32 siswa dan ditentukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dan didapatkan melalui angket kecemasan matematika dan tes uraian kemampuan koneksi matematis pada materi teorema Pythagoras. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dan uji F untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan jika kecemasan matematika punya pengaruh yang cukup berarti terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui analisis regresi yang menghasilkan persamaan Y = 26,55 – 0,20X.    Kata kunci: pengaruh, kecemasan matematika, kemampuan koneksi matematis.      This study aims to determine the effect of math anxiety on students’ mathematical connection ability. This study applies to a population that includes all eighth-grade students at SMP Negerti 3 Pringsewu in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The number of students in the population is 191, divided into six classes, namely classes VIII.1 to VIII.6. The sample in this study consists of 32 students from class VIII.6, determined using the cluster random sampling technique. The data for this research is quantitative and obtained through a math anxiety questionnaire and a written test on mathematical connection ability in the Pythagorean theorem material. The data analysis technique was conducted using simple linear regression analysis and the F-test to test the researcher's hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that math anxiety has a significant effect on students’ mathematical connection ability. This is evidenced by the regression analysis, which resulted in the equation Y = 26.55 – 0.20X.    Key words: effect, math anxiety, mathematical connection ability.
