"Intensive tilapia cultivation using biofloc technology (BT) has the weakness that\r\nthe more feed added, the more biofloc biomass is produced. This can cause the\r\n\r\naccumulation of solids at the bottom of the pond and can inhibit fish growth. Bio-\r\nfloc technology-settling tank (BT-ST) is a biofloc technology that has been modi-\r\nfied by adding a settling tank as to control the quantity of floc. So far, there have\r\n\r\nbeen no studies related to cultivating monosex tilapia which have fast growth\r\ncombined with BT-ST as a floc control to prevent accumulation. The aims of this\r\nstudy were to compare the growth performance, survival rate, and feed efficiency\r\nof monosex tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) reared using BT and BT-ST. This\r\nresearch was an experimental study consisting of two treatments, BT and BT-ST\r\nwith three repetitions. The test fish used were nirvana tilapia with a size of 8,5 ±\r\n3,5 cm with a stocking density of 1 fish/5 liters of water. Fish rearing was carried\r\n\r\nout for 60 days. Sampling of fish length and weight, as well as water quality para-\r\nmeters was carried out on day of 0, 15, 30, 45, and 60. The results showed that the\r\n\r\nabsolute weight growth (AWG) and the specific growth rate (SGR) affected by\r\nthe treatment (P<0,05). It showed that the AWG and SGR was higher in BT-ST\r\nthan BT. AWG in BT was 57,98 ± 2,38 g and the BT-ST was 67,86 ± 3,93 g. SGR\r\n\r\nin BT was 2,26 ± 0,05%/day and the BT-ST was 2,45 ± 0,07 %/day. However, ab-\r\nsolute length growth, survival rate, and feed efficiency did not show a different\r\n\r\nresults (P>0,05). Rearing monosex tilapia using BT-ST showed better perform-\r\nance than BT in terms of AWG and SGR.\r\n\r\nKeywords : accumulation, biofloc, biomass, monosex, quantity.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nBudi daya ikan nila sistem intensif dengan teknologi bioflok (BT) memiliki kele-\r\nmahan dimana semakin banyak pakan yang ditambahkan semakin banyak juga\r\n\r\nbiomassa yang dihasilkan. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan akumulasi padatan di dasar\r\n\r\nkolam dan dapat menghambat pertumbuhan ikan. Teknologi bioflok-bak pengen-\r\ndapan (BT-ST) merupakan teknologi bioflok yang sudah dimodifikasi dengan pe-\r\nnambahan bak pengendapan sebagai bak untuk mengontrol kuantitas flok. Sejauh\r\n\r\nini, belum ada kajian terkait budi daya ikan nila monoseks yang memiliki pertum-\r\nbuhan yang cepat dikombinasikan dengan BT-ST sebagai kontrol flok agar tidak\r\n\r\nterjadinya akumulasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan\r\nperforma pertumbuhan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, dan efisiensi pakan pada ikan\r\nnila (Oreochromis niloticus) monoseks yang dipelihara dengan BT dan BT-ST.\r\nPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang terdiri dari dua perlakuan,\r\nBT dan BT-ST dengan tiga pengulangan. Ikan uji yang digunakan yaitu ikan nila\r\nnirwana dengan ukuran 8,35±3,5 cm dengan padat penebaran 1 ekor/5 liter air.\r\nPemeliharaan dilakukan selama 60 hari. Sampling panjang dan berat ikan serta\r\nparameter kualitas air dilakukan pada hari ke- 0, 15, 30, 45, dan hari 60. Hasil\r\n\r\npenelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan berat mutlak (AWG) dan laju per-\r\ntumbuhan spesifik (SGR) dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan (P<0,05). AWG pada BT\r\n\r\nsebesar 57,98±2,38 g dan BT-ST sebesar 67,86±3,93 g. SGR pada BT sebesar\r\n2,26%/hari dan BT-ST sebesar 2,45%/hari. Akan tetapi, pertumbuhan panjang\r\nmutlak, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, dan efisiensi pakan tidak menunjukkan hasil\r\n\r\nyang berbeda nyata (P>0,05).
