abstract: Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah anak-anak yang masih kesulitan dalam
kemampuan berhitungnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh
media permainan tradisional ular tangga terhadap kemampuan berhitung anak usia
5-6 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan
kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperiment. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu anak
kelompok B di TK Al-Akbar yang terdiri dari 2 kelas berjumlah 30 anak. Sampel
pada penelitian ini diambil melalui teknik pengambilan sampel jenuh yaitu seluruh
anggota populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi.
Hipotesis penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh antara permainan tradisional ular
tangga terhadap kemampuan berhitung anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hal tersebut dapat
dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U mendapat
nilai 0,000 < 0,005. Hasil uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,8349 dengan kategori
tinggi dan kelas kontrol 0,5563 dengan kategori sedang. sehingga Ha diterima. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media permainan tradisional ular tangga memiliki
pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berhitung anak.

The problem in this study is children who still have difficulty in their counting
skills. This study aims to determine the effect of traditional snakes and ladders game
media on the counting ability of children aged 5-6 years. The research method used
in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experiment. The
population in this study were group B children at Al-Akbar Kindergarten consisting
of 2 classes totaling 30 children. The sample in this study was taken through
saturated sampling technique, namely all members of the population. Data
collection techniques using observation sheets. The hypothesis of this study is that
there is an influence between traditional snakes and ladders games on the counting
ability of children aged 5-6 years. This can be proven from the results of hypothesis
testing using the Mann-Whitney U test got a value of 0.000 <0.005. The N-Gain
test results of the experimental class are 0.835 with a high category and the control
class is 0.556 with a medium category. so Ha is accepted. The results showed that
the traditional snakes and ladders game media had an influence on children's
counting skills.
