"Cooling char ini Bertujuan untuk menurunkan suhu dari biochar yang telah\r\nditorefaksi dan menurunkan titik didihnya agar tidak langsung terbakar setelah\r\nditorefaksi, menghitung spesifikasi dan parameter pada sistem pendinginan yang\r\ndibutuhkan, menganalisa heat loss dari reaktor torefaksi menuju cooling char, serta\r\nmelakukan perancangan terhadap sistem pendingin dari reaktor torefaksi biomassa\r\ndengan sistem cooling char menggunakan screw.\r\nMetode yang digunakan dalam merancang cooling char yaitu mencari referensi dari\r\nbuku dan jurnal terkait dengan perhitungan dimensi, Analisa perpindahan panas dan\r\nheat loss dari dimensi yang telah dirancang berdasarkan hasil perhitungan\r\nmekanikal, menghitung kebutuhan energi, dan mencari ukuran dimensi silinder\r\ncooling char yang berada dipasar dan mendekati dengan hasil perhitungan, serta\r\nmerancang hasil dari perhitungan kedalam bentuk model 3D.\r\nHasil dari penelitian ini yaitu parameter hasil perhitungan dimensi cooling char\r\ndengan Panjang 2,414 m, Diameter cooling char 508 mm, Diameter screw 482,82\r\nmm, jarak pitch 241,4 mm, kapasitas cooling char 42,21 kg/jam, , ṁ air = 0,346\r\nkg/s dan ṁ cond= 0,038 kg/s. Serta model 3D yang telah dirancang berdasarkan\r\ndengan hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan.\r\nKesimpulan dengan adanya sistem pendinginan pada proses torefaksi dapat\r\nmembuat produk tidak terbakar karena telah didinginkan dibawah titik nyala api,\r\nmengetahui nilai spesifikasi dan parameter berdasarkan hasil yang didapat, serta\r\nhasil analisa heat loss yaitu Qloss = 0,356 KW, dan membuat perancangan model 3D\r\ndari hasil perhitungan cooling char.\r\nKata kunci: Cooling char, Screw, Torefaksi, Heat Loss, Perancangan.\r\nThis cooling char aims to reduce the temperature of the biochar, Calculate the\r\nspecifications and parameters of the required cooling system, Analyse the heat loss,\r\nand design the cooling system.
