Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap di MTs Al-Fatah Natar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan teknik non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 115 peserta didik dari 4 kelas (IX A-IX D). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 59 peserta didik yang terdiri dari kelas IX C sebagai kelas eksperimen (30 peserta didik) dan kelas IX A sebagai kelas kontrol (29 peserta didik), sampel dipilih dengan cluster random sampling. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan flipbook maker, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode diskusi dengan pendekatan saintifik. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data kuantitatif berupa instrumen tes dan data kualitatif berupa angket. Analisis data literasi menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,01 < 0,05, yang berarti H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Rata-rata N-Gain di kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,54 (kriteria sedang), sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,18 (kriteria rendah). Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan flipbook maker terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Respon peserta didik terhadap model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan flipbook maker yang diukur melalui angket mendapatkan rata-rata 77,2%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik setuju bahwa mereka lebih memahami materi bioteknologi dengan model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan flipbook maker. The research was carried out in the even semester at MTs Al-Fatah Natar. The research design used was quasi-experimental with non- equivalent control group design techniques. The research population consisted of 115 students from 4 classes (IX A-IX D). The research sample consisted of 59 students consisting of class IX C as the experimental class (30 students) and class IX A as the control class (29 students), the sample was selected using cluster random sampling. The experimental class uses a guided inquiry model assisted by a flipbook maker, while the control class uses a discussion method with a scientific approach. The types of data in this research include quantitative data in the form of test instruments and qualitative data in the form of questionnaires. Literacy data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test with the help of the SPSS version 26 application. The research results showed value Sig. (2-tailed) 0.01 < 0.05, which means H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Average N-Gain in the experimental class was 0.54 (medium criteria), while the control class was 0.18 (low criteria). This shows the influence of using the guided inquiry model assisted by a flipbook maker on students' scientific literacy abilities. The students' response to the guided inquiry model assisted by the flipbook maker, which was measured through a questionnaire, was an average of 77.2%. This shows that students agree that they understand biotechnology material better with the guided inquiry model assisted by a flipbook maker.
