Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis model Miles dan Huberman yakni pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran pendidik dalam pengembangan nilai karakter yaitu peran teladan, inspirator, motivator, dinamisator, dan evaluator. Adapun program untuk pengembangan nilai karakter peserta didik yaitu program kegiatan rutin sekolah, program kegiatan spontan, keteladanan, dan pengkondisian. Sedangkan program tahfidz Al-Qur‟an memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengembangan karakter religius dan disiplin peserta didik melalui berbagai peran yang diimplementasikan secara maksimal oleh pendidik. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah diolah maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidik pada program tahfidz Al-Qur‟an di SD IT Wahdatul Ummah sangat berperan penting dalam pengembangan karakter religius dan disiplin peserta didik. Kata Kunci : disiplin, karakter, pendidik, religius, tahfidz al-qur‟an The aim of this research is to describe the role of educators in developing values student character, describing programs to develop participant character values education, and describes the Al-Qur'an tahfidz program for the development of religious character and student disciplinein class V students at SD IT Wahdatul Ummah. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and document study. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The research results show that the role educators in developing character values, namely the role of role model, inspirer, motivator, dynamicator, and evaluator. The program is for developing students' character values namely routine school activity programs, spontaneous activity programs, role models, and conditioning. Meanwhile, the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program has an influence on development of religious character and discipline of students through various roles implemented optimally by educators.Based on the analysis of the data that has been processed, it can be concluded that educators in the tahfidz Al- Qur'an program at SD IT Wahdatul Ummah play a very important role in developing the religious character and discipline of students.
