N2  - Pelestarian penyu hijau menjadi sangat penting untuk mencegah kepunahan dan
pemanfaatan komersial yang merugikan serta untuk edukasi masyarakat mengenai
konservasi. Pantai Minang Rua mengalami kerusakan habitat akibat tsunami pada

tahun 2018 yang mengakibatkan penurunan jumlah penyu hijau. Upaya pelestari-
an terhambat oleh keterbatasan dana sehingga diperlukan sumber dana berkelan-
jutan. Demi menjaga kelestarian penyu hijau di Pantai Minang Rua sembari men-
dayagunakan masyarakat, penelitian tentang kesediaan membayar wisatawan ter-
hadap upaya pelestarian penyu hijau ini dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ada-
lah untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik dan mengestimasi besarnya nilai kesedia-
an pengunjung untuk membayar dalam upaya pelestarian penyu hijau di Pantai

Minang Rua. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang
diberikan untuk 100 responden. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif

yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara apa adanya kondisi responden ber-
dasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, asal kota, pendidikan, pekerjaan, status pernikahan,

dan penghasilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik wisatawan
atau pengunjung Pantai Minang Rua, didominasi oleh pengunjung berasal dari
dalam Provinsi Lampung (lokal), usia didominasi 20-29 tahun, memiliki riwayat
pendidikan terakhir SMA. Responden memiliki status pekerjaan dalam kategori
tidak bekerja, memiliki pendapatan lebih dari UMP Lampung Selatan tahun 2023

yaitu Rp2.633.284,00. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan estimasi nilai kesediaan pe-
ngunjung untuk membayar sebesar Rp3.000,00/individu per kunjungan dengan

estimasi biaya terkumpul sebanyak Rp75.584.000,00 per tahun.

Green turtle conservation is very important to prevent extinction and harmful co-
mmercial utilization as well as to educate the public about conservation. Minang

Rua Beach as a area experienced habitat destruction due to the tsunami in 2018
which resulted in a decrease in the number of green turtles. Conservation efforts
are hampered by limited funds so a sustainable source of funds is needed. In order
to preserve the green turtles in Minang Rua Beach while utilizing the community,
a study on tourists' willingness to pay for green turtle conservation efforts was

conducted. The purpose of this study waere to identify the characterristics and es-
timate the value of visitors' willingness to pay for green turtle conservation efforts

at Minang Rua Beach. Data collection was carried out using a questionnnaire gi-
ven to 100 respondents. The analysis used was descriptive analysis which aimed

to explain or describe the condition of respondents based on gender, age, city or-
igin, education, occupation, marital status, and income. The results showed that

the characteristics of tourists or visitors to Minang Rua Beach, dominated by visi-
tors from within Lampung Province (local), age was dominated by 20-29 years,

had a history of high school education. Respondents had a job status in the cate-
gory of not working, had an income of more than the South Lampung UMP in

2023, namely Rp2,633,284.00. While the results of the study based on the esti-
mated value of visitors' willingness to pay of IDR3,000.00 / individual per visit

with an estimated cost of IDR75,584,000.00 / year.
