N2  - Perilaku komunikasi toxic friendship adalah cara berkomunikasi yang merusak
hubungan antar individu dan menciptakan suasana lingkungan yang negatif dan
tidak sehat. Perilaku komunikasi yang berlangsung, hampir selalu melibatkan
penggunaan lambang-lambang verbal dan nonverbal secara bersama-sama.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif untuk
menganalisis dampak perilaku komunikasi toxic friendship pada hubungan
pertemanan remaja (Study Pada Remaja Usia 15-24 Tahun di Kota Bandar
Lampung). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen.
Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bentuk dan perilaku komunikasi toxic friendship
pada hubungan pertemanan remaja usia 15-24 tahun di Kota Bandar Lampung
adalah pengkritik, tidak ada empati, keras kepala, dan selalu bergantung.
Komunikasi toxic friendship tersebut pun terjadi dengan komunikasi secara verbal
dan non verbal. Dampak perilaku komunikasi toxic friendship pada hubungan
pertemanan remaja usia 15-24 tahun (setingkat SMP, SMA dan perguruan tinggi)
adalah hampir sama yaitu kompetisi berlebih, kecemburuan, balas dendam,
kemarahan, penghianatan, dan depresi. Sikap remaja menyikapi dampak perilaku
komunikasi toxic friendship pada hubungan pertemanannya, bagi remaja setingkat
SMP dan SMA lebih banyak memilih untuk memutuskan pergi meninggalkan
lingkaran toxic friendship tersebut. Sedangkan pada remaja pada tingkat
perguruan tinggi lebih banyak memilih untuk tetap tinggal dan bertahan dalam
circle yang tidak sehat tersebut.

Toxic friendship communication behavior is a way of communicating that
damages relationships between individuals and creates a negative and unhealthy
environmental atmosphere. Ongoing communication behavior almost always
involves the use of verbal and nonverbal symbols together. This research uses a
qualitative approach and descriptive methods to analyze the impact of toxic
friendship communication behavior on adolescent friendship relationships (Study
of Adolescents Aged 15-24 Years in Bandar Lampung City). Data was collected
through interviews, observations and documents. Data analysis in this research
uses descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the research show that the
form and behavior of toxic friendship communication in the friendship
relationships of teenagers aged 15-24 years in Bandar Lampung City are critics,
no empathy, stubborn, and always dependent. This toxic friendship
communication also occurs through verbal and non-verbal communication. The
impact of toxic friendship communication behavior on the friendship relationships
of teenagers aged 15-24 years (middle school, high school and college level) in
Bandar Lampung City is almost the same, namely excessive competition, jealousy,
revenge, anger, betrayal and depression. The way teenagers respond to the
impact of toxic friendship communication behavior on their friendship
relationships, teenagers at junior high and high school levels are more likely to
decide to leave the toxic friendship circle. Meanwhile, more teenagers at the
tertiary level choose to stay and survive in this unhealthy circle.
