%X Masalah penelitian ini berawal dari hasil analisis kebutuhan pada pembelajaran  peserta didik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa buku saku  IPA berbasis Inquiry Social Complexity yang valid, praktis dan efektif guna  meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang  digunakan Research and Developments (R&D). Pengembangan dilakukan  mengacu pada model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan yaitu:Analisys, Design,  Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta  didik kelas V SD Rayon II Kecamatan Sidomulyo. Sampel penelitian ini  ditentukan dengan Teknik Cluster Random Sampling yang sesuai dengan tujuan  penelitian. Hasil penelitian meliputi kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan  produk. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent t-test dengan hasil  perhitungan sebesar 0,009 kurang dari 0,05 di kelompok kelas sebelum  menggunakan produk dan sesudah menggunakan produk. Skor validasi ahli materi  dengan indeks aiken sebesar 0,86 sangat valid, skor validasi ahli media dengan  indeks aiken sebesar 0,88 sangat valid, dan skor validasi ahli bahasa indeks aiken  0,87 sangat valid. Tingkat kepraktisan oleh pendidik 88,04 dengan interpretasi  sangat praktis dan kepraktisan oleh peserta didik sebesar 86,74 interpretasi sangat  praktis. Keefektifan buku berdasarkan uji N gain sebesar 0,43 dengan kategori  efektif. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian tersebut buku saku  IPA berbasis Inquiry Social Complexity untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir  kritis peserta didik valid untuk digunakan, praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan  kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.    Kata kunci: Berpikir kritis, Buku Saku, Inquiry Social Complexity      This research problem begins with the results of a needs analysis on student  learning. The research aims to produce a product in the form of a science-based  pocket book Inquiry Social Complexity valid, practical and effective to improve  students' critical thinking skills. Type of research used Research and  Developments (R&D). Development is carried out referring to the model ADDIE  with five stages namely:Analisys, Design, Development, Implementation,  Evaluation. The population of this study was class V students at SD Rayon II,  Sidomulyo District. This research sample was determined by technique  Cluster Random Sampling which is in accordance with the research objectives.  The research results include the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the  product. Data analysis techniques use tests independent t-test with a calculation  result of 0.009 less than 0.05 in the class group before using the product and after  using the product. The material expert validation score with an Aiken index of  0.86 is very valid, the media expert validation score with an Aiken index of 0.88  is very valid, and the linguist validation score with an Aiken index of 0.87 is very  valid. The level of practicality by educators is 88.04 with a very practical  interpretation and practicality by students is 86.74 with a very practical  interpretation. The book's effectiveness based on the N gain test is 0.43 in the  effective category. Based on the data obtained from the research results, the  science pocket book is based Inquiry Social Complexity to improve students'  critical thinking skills, valid to use, practical and effective in improving students'  critical thinking skills.
