DENGAN DERAJAT HISTOPATOLOGI TUMOR OTAK 
DI RSUD H. ABDUL MOELOEK BANDAR LAMPUNG

abstract: Background: As a major health issue, brain tumors contribute to significant
morbidity and mortality. The histological classification of primary brain tumors is
based on their degree of malignancy. Brain tumors can vary in histopathological
grade, which affects prognosis and treatment decisions.  This study aims to examine
the relationship between age, gender, tumor location, and tumor type with the
histopathological grade in brain tumor patients. 
Methods: This research used an analytical observational design with a crosssectional

approach and applied total sampling. The population in this study was
225, and a sample of 160 was obtained that met the inclusion criteria and had no
exclusion criteria, clinical and histopathological data were collected from medical
records at Abdul Moeloek hospital. This study used bivariate analysis with the chisquare
test,
where
values
were
considered
significant
(p<0.05)
and
not
significant

(p>0.05).

Results:
The
majority
of
patients
were
older
than
50
years
(65.6%),
with
a
higher

proportion

of females (67.5%). The most common tumor locations were the
cerebral cortex (55.4%) and meninges (45.6%). Meningiomas (47.5%) and
astrocytomas (41.9%) were the most frequently diagnosed tumor types, while lowgrade
tumors
were
the
most
prevalent
histopathological
grade
(84.4%).
Based
on

the
chi-square
statistical
test,
it
was
found
that
the
relationship
between
age
and

tumor
type
(p
>
0.05)
and
between
gender
and
tumor
location
(p
<
0.05)
showed
a

relationship

between age and tumor location with the histopathological grade of
brain tumors. However, there was no relationship between age and tumor type with
the histopathological grade of brain tumors.
Conclusion: The study found that gender and tumor location are significantly
associated with the histopathological grade of brain tumors. However, age and
tumor type did not show a significant correlation with histopathological grade.

Latar Belakang: Tumor otak merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang serius
karena dapat menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas yang signifikan. Klasifikasi
histologis tumor otak primer dibedakan berdasarkan derajat keganasannya. Tumor
otak memiliki derajat histopatologi yang berbeda-beda, yang dapat berpengaruh
pada prognosis dan pilihan terapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
hubungan antara usia, jenis kelamin, dan lokasi tumor dengan derajat histopatologi
pada pasien tumor otak. 
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan
pendekatan cross-sectional, dengan teknik total sampling. Jumlah populasi pada
penelitian ini adalah 225 populasi, kemudian didapatkan 160 sampel yang
memenuhi dan tidak memiliki kriteria ekslusi dengan data klinis dan histopatologi
yang diambil dari rekam medis RSUD Abdul Moeloek. Penelitian ini menggunakan
analisis bivariat dengan uji chi-square nilai berhubungan (p<0,05) dan tidak
berhubungan (p>0,05).
Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pasien berusia >50
tahun (65,6%) dan mayoritas berjenis kelamin perempuan (67,5%). Lokasi tumor
terbanyak berada di korteks otak (55,4%) dan meninges (45,6%), jenis tumor
terbanyak pada meningioma (47,5%) dan astrocytoma (41,9%) dan derajat
histopatologi yang paling umum adalah low grade (84,4%). Berdasarkan uji
statistik chi-square, ditemukan pada hubungan usia dan jenis tumor (p > 0,005) dan
pada jenis kelamin dan lokasi tumor (p <0,005) bahwa terdapat hubungan antara
usia dan lokasi tumor otak dengan derajat histopatologi tumor otak, namun tidak
terdapat hubungan  antara usia dan jenis tumor dengan derajat histopatologi tumor
otak.
Kesimpulan: Faktor jenis kelamin, dan lokasi tumor memiliki hubungan yang
signifikan dengan derajat histopatologi tumor otak.
