%T PERAN DJENANG DI DJAMBI PADA TAHUN 1900-1910
%X Djenang memiliki peran penting pada masa Kesultanan Djambi dan Pemerintahan
Belanda. Peran utamanya yaitu sebagai pemungut pajak serta membeli dan
mengumpulkan hasil hutan yang diserahkan kepada pemegang tanah, yaitu sultan
pada masa Kesultanan Djambi atau Residen pada masa Pemerintah Belanda
dengan harga tetap. Terdapat perbedaan peran Djenang serta peralihan sistem
politik dan sistem pemerintahan masa Kesultanan Djambi dengan Pemerintahan
Belanda. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu ?Bagaimanakah
peran Djenang di Djambi pada Tahun 1900-1910??. Tujuan dari penelitian ini
untuk mengetahui peran Djenang di Djambi pada Tahun 1900-1910. Metode yang
digunakan dalam metode ini adalah metode historis yang meliputi pemilihan
topik, peneliti menggunakan topik yang telah dipilih; heuristik, peneliti
mengumpulkan data dan sumber dari Delpher, Google Scholar, dan University of
Leiden; kritik sumber, peneliti telah memperoleh keaslian dan kredibilitas sumber;
interpretasi, peneliti menganalisis sumber yang telah dikumpulkan; dan
historiografi, penulisan sejarah setelah melakukan tahap-tahap sebelumnya. Hasil
dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peran Djenang dan
sistem pemerintahan masa Kesultanan Djambi dengan Pemerintahan Belanda.
Pada Tahun 1900-1904 Djambi masih menganut sistem pemerintahan Kesultanan
Djambi, dimana Djenang memiliki peran sebagai pemungut pajak dan wakil
sultan serta lembaga peradilan. Sedangkan pada Tahun 1905-1906 Belanda
mengubah sistem pemerintahan Kesultanan Djambi menjadi Keresidenan Djambi,
dimana Djenang memiliki peran sebagai pemungutan pajak. Kesimpulan yang
dapat diambil bahwa wilayah Djambi memiliki perbedaan dan persamaan pada
masa Pemerintah Kesultanan Djambi dengan Pemerintah Belanda.

Djenang played an important role during the Djambi Sultanate and the Dutch
Government. Its main role was as a tax collector and to buy and collect forest
products that were handed over to the land holder, namely the sultan during the
Djambi Sultanate or the Resident during the Dutch Government at a fixed price.
There were differences in the role of Djenang and the transition of the political
system and government system during the Djambi Sultanate and the Dutch
Government. The formulation of the problem in this study is "What was the role of
Djenang in Djambi in 1900-1910?". The purpose of this study was to determine
the role of Djenang in Djambi in 1900-1910. The method used in this method is
the historical method which includes topic selection, researchers use selected
topics; heuristics, researchers collect data and sources from Delpher, Google
Scholar, and the University of Leiden; source criticism, researchers have
obtained the authenticity and credibility of sources; interpretation, researchers
analyze the sources that have been collected; and historiography, writing history
after carrying out the previous stages. The results of this study indicate that there
are differences in the role of Djenang and the government system during the
Djambi Sultanate and the Dutch Government. In 1900-1904 Djambi still adopted
the Djambi Sultanate government system, where Djenang had a role as a tax
collector and deputy sultan and a judicial institution. While in 1905-1906 the
Dutch changed the Djambi Sultanate government system to the Djambi Residency,
where Djenang had a role as a tax collector. The conclusion that can be drawn is
that the Djambi region has differences and similarities during the Djambi
Sultanate Government and the Dutch Government.
