abstract: Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung
kunyit terhadap total protein plasma (TPP) dan glukosa darah pada kambing
Jawarandu dan untuk mengetahui presentase optimum pemberian tepung kunyit
terhadap total protein plasma (TPP) dan glukosa darah pada kambing Jawarandu.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Oktober 2023–Desember 2023 di Peternakan
rakyat Sri Kencono, Kecamatan Bumi Nabung, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah,
Provinsi Lampung. Analisis untuk TPP dan Glukosa Darah dilakukan di
Laboratorium Pramitra Biolab Indonesia, Bandarlampung. Penelitian
menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3
ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan pada penelitian ini yaitu ransum basal tanpa
perlakuan (P0), ransum basal + 0,50 g/hari tepung kunyit (P1), ransum basal +
0,75 g/hari tepung kunyit (P2), ransum basal + 1 g/hari tepung kunyit (P3). Data
dianalisis dengan analisis of variance (ANOVA) melalui program SPSS, dan diuji
lanjut menggunakan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung kunyit pada ransum basal dengan
presentase berbeda dapat berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap total protein
plasma (TPP) dan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap glukosa darah pada
kambing Jawarandu.

ABSTRACT

THE EFFECT OF ADMINISTRATION OF TURMERIC FLOUR ON
TOTAL PLASMA PROTEIN (TPP) AND BLOOD GLUCOSE IN

JAWARANDU GOATS

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of giving turmeric flour on
total plasma protein (TPP) and blood glucose in Jawarandu goats and to determine
the optimum percentage of giving turmeric flour to total plasma protein (TPP) and
blood glucose in Jawarandu goats. This research was carried out in October
2023–December 2023 at the Sri Kencono people's farm, Bumi Nabung District,
Central Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. Analysis for TPP and Glucose at
the Pramitra Biolab Indonesia Laboratory, Bandarlampung. The research used a
Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The
treatments given in this study were basal ration without treatment (P0), basal
ration + 0.50 g/day turmeric flour (P1), basal ration + 0.75 g/day turmeric flour
(P2), basal ration + 1 g/day turmeric flour (P3). The data was analyzed using
analysis of variance (ANOVA) via the SPSS program, and tested further using the
Least Significant Difference (BNT) test. The results of the study showed that
giving turmeric flour in basal rations with different percentages had a significant
effect (P<0.05) on TPP and had no significant effect (P>0.05) on blood glucose of
Jawarandu goats.
