N2  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi petani padi sawah
terhadap teknologi mesin tanam padi (transplanter) sebagai modernisasi pertanian,
dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan persepsi petani padi sawah terhadap
teknologi mesin tanam padi (transplanter) sebagai modernisasi pertanian.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Wonokarto Kecamatan Sekampung Kabupaten
Lampung Timur. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive)
dengan pertimbangan adanya keunikan yang terjadi pada kelompok tani di Desa
Wonokarto, dimana petani sudah menpunyai teknologi modern yaitu mesin tanam
padi (transplanter) yang bisa digunakan untuk membantu usahatani mereka, namun
belum bisa dimaksimalkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan
responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 70 petani padi sawah. Data yang
digunakan adalah data primer dan data skunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan
analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, dan analisi korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa persepsi petani padi sawah terhadap teknologi mesin tanam
padi (transplanter) sebagai modernisasi pertanian di Desa Wonokarto Kecamatan
Sekampung bersifat positif. Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan persepsi
petani padi sawah terhadap teknologi mesin tanam padi (transplanter) sebagai
modernisasi pertanian yaitu motivasi petani (X2) dan lingkungan sosial (X7),
sedangkan faktor-faktor yang tidak berhubungan dengan persepsi petani padi sawah
terhadap teknologi mesin tanam padi (transplanter) sebagai modernisasi pertanian
yaitu pendidikan formal (X1), umur petani (X3), pengalaman (X4), tingkat
kosmopolit (X5), dan pengetahuan informasi mesin transplanter (X6).

This research aims to determine the perceptions of lowland rice farmers
regarding rice planting machine (transplanter) technology as agricultural
modernization, and the factors related to lowland rice farmers' perceptions of rice
planting machine (transplanter) technology as agricultural modernization. This
research was carried out in Wonokarto Village, Sekampung District, East Lampung
Regency. The choice of research location was carried out purposively taking into
account the uniqueness that occurs in the farmer group in Wonokarto Village, where
farmers already have modern technology, namely rice planting machines
(transplanters) which can be used to help their farming business, but this cannot be
maximized. This research uses a case study method with respondents in this
research totaling 70 lowland rice farmers. The data used is primary data and
secondary data. The data analysis method uses quantitative descriptive analysis and
Spearman Rank correlation analysis. The results of the research show that the
perception of lowland rice farmers towards rice planting machine (transplanter)
technology as agricultural modernization in Wonokarto Village, Sekampung
District is positive. Factors related to lowland rice farmers' perceptions of rice
planting machine (transplanter) technology as agricultural modernization are
farmer motivation (X2) and social environment (X7), while factors that are not
related to lowland rice farmers' perceptions of lowland rice planting technology rice
(transplanter) as agricultural modernization, namely formal education (X1), farmer's
age (X3), experience (X4), cosmopolitan level (X5), and knowledge of transplanter
machine information (X6).
