FACILITATOR AND EXPLAINING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PPKn
PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI SMKN 1 GUNUNG AGUNG
%X Masalah dalam penelitian ini masih rendahnya tingkat pemahaman peserta didik terhadap
materi materi PPKn, rendahnya partisipasi peserta didik pasif baik dalam bertanya
maupun menjawab pertanyaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh
signifikan metode pembelajaran Cooperative Learning Tipe student facilitator and
explaining terhadap hasil belajar PPkn di SMKN 1 Gunung Agung. Penelitian ini
dilakukan di SMKN 1 Gunung Agung tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Model penelitian adalah
Quasi Eksperimen dan peneliti memilih desain penelitian bentuk Quasy Experimental
Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 72 siswa. Kelas XI TKJ A sebagai kelas
eksperimen menggunakan motode pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining dan
kelas TKJ C sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan motode pembelajaran Diskusi. Hasil
penelitian dengan menggunakan pretest-posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan
dalam pemahaman konsep peserta didik, dengan nilai N-Gain Score kelas eksperimen
mendapatkan nilai sebesar 72,95% dan kelas kontrol sebesar 41,69% dengan demikian
kelas eksperimen jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Metode Cooperative
Learning tipe Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) meningkatkan keaktifan peserta
didik dalam pembelajaran. Peserta didik di kelas eksperimen tidak hanya menerima
informasi secara pasif tetapi juga aktif terlibat dalam diskusi dan penjelasan materi.
Peserta didik menjadi lebih berani untuk bertanya, baik kepada pendidik maupun teman
sekelas, dan lebih termotivasi untuk memahami materi yang diajarkan. Hal ini
menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang dinamis, di mana peserta didik saling mendukung
dan memperkuat pemahaman satu sama lain. Secara keseluruhan, metode Cooperative
Learning tipe Student Facilitator and Explaining terbukti sebagai alternatif yang efektif
dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar di SMKN 1 Gunung Agung.

The problem in this research is still the low level of students' understanding of PPKn
material, the low level of passive student participation in both asking and answering
questions. The aim of this research is to determine the significant influence of the
Cooperative Learning type of student facilitator and explaining learning method on
Civics learning outcomes at SMKN 1 Gunung Agung. This research was conducted at
SMKN 1 Gunung Agung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research model is Quasi
Experimental and the researcher chose a research design in the form of Quasi
Experimental Design. The population in this study was 72 students. Class XI TKJ A as
an experimental class uses the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning method and
class TKJ C as a control class uses the Discussion learning method. The results of
research using pretest-posttest showed a significant increase in students' understanding
of concepts, with the N-Gain Score value of the experimental class getting a score of
72.95% and the control class of 41.69%, thus the experimental class was much higher
than the control class. The Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) Cooperative
Learning method increases students' activeness in learning. Students in the
experimental class not only receive information passively but are also actively involved
in discussions and explanations of the material. Students become braver to ask
questions, both to educators and classmates, and are more motivated to understand the
material being taught. This creates a dynamic learning environment, where students
support each other and strengthen each other's understanding. Overall, the Student
Facilitator and Explaining Cooperative Learning method has proven to be an effective
alternative in improving learning outcomes at SMKN 1 Gunung Agung.
