N2  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul IPAS berbasis Discovery 
Learning yang valid dan efektif meningkatkan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis 
penelitian ini Research and Development (R&D) Borg and Gall yang 
disederhanakan menjadi 3 tahapan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada peserta didik 
kelas IV SD Negeri 5 Lempuyang Bandar. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan 
teknik random sampling dengan jumlah 30 peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen 
dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan instrumen tes yang valid 
dan reliabel. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Effect Size dengan nilai 
Cohen?s d. Hasil penelitian pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol meunjukan 
nilai Cohen?s d sebesar 0.83 dengan intepretasi tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil 
penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran IPAS berbasis Discovery 
Learning valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas 
IV sekolah dasar.

This study aims to develop a valid and effective Discovery Learning-based IPAS 
module to improve students' critical thinking. This type of research is Research 
and Development (R&D) Borg and Gall which is simplified into 3 stages. This 
research was conducted on grade IV students of SD Negeri 5 Lempuyang Bandar. 
Sampling using random sampling technique with a total of 30 students in the 
experimental class and control class. The research instrument uses valid and 
reliable test instruments. The data analysis technique uses the Effect Size test with 
Cohen's value d. The results of research in the experimental class and control 
class showed Cohen's d value of 0.83 with high interpretation. Based on the 
results of this study, it is concluded that the Discovery Learning-based science 
learning module is valid and effective for improving critical thinking of grade IV 
elementary school students.
