%X Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kepastian rencana pemilihan karir pada
mahasiswa yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan
antara determinasi diri dengan kepastian rencana pemilihan karir mahasiswa
program studi bimbingan konseling Universitas Lampung. Metode penelitian ini
adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 66 mahasiswa yang
diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Metode
pengumpulan data menggunakan skala determinasi diri dan skala kepastian
rencana pemilihan karir. Adapun uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan
uji korelasi Product Moment. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan adanya hubungan
yang positif antara determinasi diri dengan kepastian rencana pemilihan karir pada
mahasiswa program studi bimbingan konseling Universitas Lampung, dengan
nilai korelasi rhitung > rtabel yaitu 0,415 > 0,244. Dengan demikian dapat
disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat determinasi diri pada mahasiswa maka
semakin mantap pula rencana pilihan karirnya.

ABSTRACT

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF-DETERMINATION AND THE
STABILITY OF LAMPUNG UNIVERSITY COUNSELING STUDENTS'
CAREER CHOICE PLANS, ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/2024

The problem in this research is the lack of stability in students' career choice

plans. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-
determinationand the stability of career choice plans for students in the guidance

and counselingstudy program at the University of Lampung. This research method
is quantitativecorrelational. The research sample was 66 students taken using the

Simple Random Sampling technique. The data collection method uses a self-
determination scale and a scale for the stability of career choice plans. The

hypothesis test in this research uses the Product Moment correlation test. The
results of the hypothesis test show that there is a positive relationship between
self-determination and the stability of career choice plans among students in the
guidance and counseling study program at the University of Lampung, with a
correlation value of rcount > rtable, namely 0.415 > 0.244. Thus, it can be
concluded that the higher the level of self-determination in students, the more
stable their career choice plans will be.
