N2  - Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya critical thinking skills yang terlihat
dari rendahnya hasil belajar dan minat belajar yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh environmental learning model terhadap
critical thinking skills peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Jenis penelitian ini
adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan desain penelitian non
equivalent control group design. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas
4A dan 4B. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes critical thinking
skills. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analysis of covariance yang dibantu
dengan penggunaan SPSS. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, hasil penelitian
menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan environmental
learning model terhadap critical thinking skills dengan hasil partial eta square
0,444 yang dapat diinterpretasikan dalam effect size dengan kategori ?besar?.

This research is motivated by the low level of critical thinking skills which can be
seen from the low learning outcomes and low interest in learning. This research
aims to determine the influence of the environmental learning model on students'

critical thinking skills in science subjects. This type of research is a quasi-
experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population and

sample of this study are class 4A and 4B. Data collection was carried out by
giving tests on critical thinking skills. Data analysis uses analysis of covariance
techniques assisted by the use of SPSS. Based on hypothesis testing, the results of
this research show that there is a significant influence on the application of the
environmental learning model on critical thinking skills with a partial eta square
result of 0,444 which can be interpreted in an effect size in the "large" category.
