abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui wacana keberdayaan perempuan dalam
film "Penyalin Cahaya" yang difokuskan pada tokoh Sur. Tipe penelitian yang
digunakan adalah tipe penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian ini
menggunakan analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough, dengan menganalisis
tiga dimensi wacana dalam film “Penyalin Cahaya” yaitu dimensi mikrostruktur
yang berkaitan dengan teks, mesostruktur yang berkaitan dengan kewacanaan, dan
makrostruktur yang berkaitan dengan kondisi sosial-budaya saat teks diproduksi.
Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa data primer dan sekunder. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada dimensi mikrostruktur, film “Penyalin
Cahaya” mengemas wacana keberdayaan perempuan melalui tokoh Sur melalui
latar belakang karakter, sikap, tindakan, dan dialog yang diucapkan Sur dalam
film serta bagaimana identitas komunikator muncul dalam film tersebut. Pada
dimensi mesostruktur dilakukan analisis unsur produksi, distribusi, dan konsumi
film yaitu sutradara film, distributor, dan penonton dari film “Penyalin Cahaya”.
Sementara pada dimensi makrostruktur menunjukkan bahwa produksi film
“Penyalin Cahaya” didasarkan pada kepentingan-kepentingan kelompok tertentu.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam film tersebut banyak terkandung
wacana yang sengaja dikonstruksikan untuk mengkritik bagaimana masyarakat
merespon kasus kekerasan berbasis gender terutama di perguruan tinggi serta
merepresentasikan perempuan berdaya melalui Sur sebagai penyintas kekerasan
seksual yang memperjuangkan haknya.

This research aims to find out the discourse on women's empowerment in the film
"Photocopier" which focuses on the character Sur. The type of research used is
descriptive qualitative research. This research uses Norman Fairclough's critical
discourse analysis, by analyzing three dimensions of discourse in the film
"Photocopier", namely the microstructural dimension related to the text, the
mesostructure related to discourse, and the macrostructure related to the
socio-cultural conditions when the text was produced. The data sources in this
research are primary and secondary data. The results of the research show that in
the microstructural dimension, the film "Photocopier" encapsulates the discourse
of women's empowerment through the character Sur through the character
background, attitudes, actions and dialogue spoken by Sur in the film as well as
how the communicator's identity appears in the film. In the mesostructural
dimension, an analysis of the elements of film production, distribution and
consumption is carried out, namely the film director, distributor and audience of
the film "Photocopier". Meanwhile, the macrostructural dimension shows that the
production of the film "Photocopier" was based on the interests of certain groups.
The research results show that the film contains a lot of discourse that is
deliberately constructed to criticize how society responds to cases of
gender-based violence, especially in higher education and represents empowered
women through Sur as survivors of sexual violence who fight for their rights.
