abstract: Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah perencanaan karier mahasiswa rendah. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara determinasi diri dengan perencanaan
karier pada mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling Universitas Lampung.
Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 456 mahasiswa dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 100
mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala determinasi diri dan skala
perencanaan karier. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi Product Moment.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara determinasi diri
dengan perencanaan karier mahasiswa yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien
korelasi yang diperoleh ⸀hitung=0,606 > ⸀tabel=0.195 yang signifikan pada taraf 0,05
kemudian dapat diartikan berkorelasi kuat dan hasil perhitungan menunjukan hasil
yang signifikan positif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah semakin tinggi
determinasi diri maka semakin tinggi perencanaan karier begitupun sebaliknya,
semakin rendah determinasi diri maka semakin rendah perencanaan karier.

Kata Kunci : bimbingan konseling, determinasi diri, perencanaan karier.
The problem in this research is that students' career planning has weak. This
research aims to determine relationship of self-determination and students' career
planning in Study Program Counseling Guidance University of Lampung. The
population of this research was 456 students and the research sample was 100
students. Data collection techniques use a self-determination scale and a career
planning scale. The data analysis technique uses Product Moment correlation. The

research results show that there is a significant relationship between self-
determination and student career planning, which is indicated by the correlation

value was ⸀hitung 0.606> value ⸀tabel was 0.195 which mean it have any strong
correlation and the calculation results show positive results, calculations using the

significance value of 0,05. The conclusion of this research is that the higher self-
determination, the higher career planning and vice versa, the lower self-
determination, the lower career planning.
