IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS OF FRENCH FOR
GRADE XI STUDENTS AT SMAN 16 BANDARLAMPUNG IN ACADEMIC

%X This research aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes using
the Think Pair Share (TPS) model on French reading comprehension skills. This study
used the Quasi-experimental method with the One Group Pre-test Post-test design. The
sample of this study was class XI-1 of 36 students. Data in this study were tested using
homogeneity test, normality test, N-Gain test and hypothesis test. Furthermore, the
final result of this research discovered that there is absolutely improvement of the
students specifically in improving student learning outcomes in French reading
comprehension skills using the Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The results of the test
showed that the mean score post-test is 54,03 was higher than the mean score pretest
84,07 with a difference score of 30.14 points. In addition, this can also be proven by the
results of the NGain test with an average value of 66,21 and t-test with a significance
value of 0.000 < 0,05.

Cette recherche a but pour d?terminer l?augmentation des r?sultats d'apprentissage des
?l?ves ? l'aide du mod?le Think Pair Share (TPS) dans la comp?tence de
compr?hension ?crite en lecture du fran?ais. Cette recherche utilise la m?thode quasi
exp?rimentale avec le concept One Group Pre-test Post-test design. Alorsque,
l??chantillon de cette recherche est classe XI-1 eu total de 36 ?l?ves. De plus, les

?tre prouv? par le test de N- Gain avec la valeur moyenne de 66,21 et le t-test avec la
