"Regression analysis on panel data is a regression technique that utilizes the panel\r\ndata structure, which combines information from time series and cross section data.\r\nPanel data regression analysis in economics is usually used for Human\r\nDevelopment Index (HDI) data. HDI is a measure used to assess the success of a\r\nregion in developing the quality of life of its population. In panel data regression,\r\nthere are three estimation models, namely CEM, FEM and REM. The CEM method\r\nassumes that the intercept and slope in the cross section and time series units are\r\nthe same, the FEM method assumes that the intercept is different between cross\r\nsection units, while the slope between cross section units remains the same, while\r\nthe REM method assumes that differences in unit characteristics and time periods\r\nare accommodated in the residual model. As a result of this study, the best panel\r\ndata regression model is using the Random Effect Model (REM) with individual\r\neffects. The variables of life expectancy, school expectancy, number of poor people\r\nand per capita expenditure are able to explain HDI in DKI Jakarta Province by\r\n95.45%. Analisis regresi data panel dalam bidang ekonomi biasanya\r\ndigunakan untuk data Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM). IPM adalah ukuran\r\nyang digunakan untuk menilai keberhasilan suatu daerah dalam membangun\r\nkualitas hidup penduduknya. Dalam regresi data panel terdapat tiga estimasi model,\r\nyakni CEM, FEM dan REM. Metode CEM berasumsi bahwa intercept dan slope\r\npada unit cross section dan time series adalah sama, metode FEM mengasumsikan\r\nbahwa intercept berbeda antar unit cross section, sedangkan slope antar unit cross\r\nsection tetap sama, sedangkan metode REM berasumsi bahwa perbedaan\r\nkarakteristik unit dan periode waktu diakomodasi pada residual model. Hasil\r\npenelitian ini, model regresi data panel terbaik ialah menggunakan Random Effect\r\nModel (REM) dengan efek individu.
