The result of normality test showed the value of two-tailed significant 0.200 (0.200>0.05). The result of homogeneity test also showed the value of two-tailed significance 0.205 > 0.05. It means that H 0 was accepted. Furthermore, the result of this research showed that there is a significant correlation between motivation and students’ English speaking ability.
