%X penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan berbicara
peserta didik kelass IV SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran show and
tell berbantuan poster terhadap keterampilan berbicara peserta didik.
Metode penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design dengan desain
penelitian yaitu One Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi pada
penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV yang berjumlah 58
peserta didik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 58 orang peserta didik.
Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.
Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan non tes
berupa dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji
regresi linier sederhana diperoleh Fhitung > Ftabel (7,71 > 4,21)
menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran show and tell
berbantuan poster terhadap keterampilan berbicara peserta didik.

ABSTRACT

THE INFLUENCE OF USING THE SHOW AND TELL LEARNING
METHOD ASSISTED BY POSTERS ON THE SPEAKING
SKILLS OF CLASS IV STUDENTS ELEMENTARY

The problem in this research is the low speaking skills of fourth grade
students of elementary school 4 east metro. This study aims to determine
the effect of using the show and tell learning method assisted by posters on
the speaking skills of fourth grade students. This research method is a Quasi
Experimental Design with a research design that is One Nonequivalent
Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fourth grade
students totaling 58 students. The sample in this study amounted to 58
students. Determination of the research sample using purposive sampling
technique. Data collection techniques in this study used tests and non-tests
in the form of documentation and observation. The data analysis used is a
simple linear regression test obtained F_count > F_table (7.71 > 4.21)
shows that there is an effect of the show and tell learning method assisted
by posters on the speaking skills of class IV.
