%X Wisata religi adalah salah satu wisata yang digunakan untuk mendekatkan
diri kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Wisata religi banyak macamnya, salah
satunya adalah tempat peribadatan, yaitu masjid untuk masyarakat beragama
Islam. Kota Bekasi belum memiliki masjid yang dijadikan destinasi wisata oleh
masyarakat dengan bentuk yang unik. Dalam mewujudkan hal tersebut,
diperlukan fasilitas pendukung dan juga akeses yang mudah, oleh karena itu
pemilihan lokasi Kota Harapan Indah dinilai tepat. Keinginan memiliki wisata
religi, pendekatan arsitektur ikonik digunakan untuk menghasilkan bangunan
yang ikonik dan dapat dijadikan ikon Kota Bekasi kelak. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa studi literatur, serta analisis pada
bangunan-bangunan masjid. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah merancang
bangunan masjid di Kota Harapan Indah Kota Bekasi. Penelitian ini membahas
seputar masjid, arsitektur ikonik, dan juga perancangan masjid. Hasil dari
penilitian ini ialah desain masjid satu lantai berbentuk dome yang unik dengan
bangunan-bangunan pendukung lainnya seperti area TPA, area pengelola, area
servis, dan area penunjang.

CONCEPT OF DESIGNING A MOSQUE BUILDING WITH AN ICONIC

ARCHITECTURAL APPROACH IN THE CITY OF
HARAPAN INDAH BEKASI CITY

Religious tourism is one of the tours used to get closer to God Almighty.
There are many kinds of religious tourism, one of which is a place of worship,
namely a mosque for Muslims. Bekasi City does not yet have a mosque that is
used as a tourist destination by the community with a unique shape. In realizing
this, supporting facilities and easy access are needed, therefore the selection of
the Kota Harapan Indah location is considered appropriate. The desire to have
religious tourism, the iconic architecture approach is used to produce an iconic
building and can be used as an icon of Bekasi City in the future. This research
uses qualitative methods in the form of literature studies, as well as analysis of
mosque buildings. The purpose of this research is to design a mosque building in
Harapan Indah City, Bekasi City. This research discusses mosques, iconic

architecture, and mosque design. The result of this research is a unique dome-
shaped one-story mosque design with other supporting buildings such as the TPA

area, management area, service area, and supporting area.
