Pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis Socio-Scientific Issues ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan peserta didik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving, kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian pengembangan mengacu pada model 4D (four-D) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan yang terdisi atas 4 tahap utama, yaitu (1) Define (Pendefinisian), (2) Design (Perancangan), (3) Develop (Pengembangan), dan (4) Disseminate (Penyebaran). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 6 Bandar Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, angket dan test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (a) Proses pengembangan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D diperoleh bahwa produk hasil pengembangan yaitu E-LKPD berbasis socio-scientific issues pada materi alkohol untuk meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving peserta didik layak dan valid untuk digunakan berdasarkan hasil angket validasi para Ahli (b) Tingkat kepraktisan e-LKPD berbasis socio-scientific issues yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving peserta didik sangat praktis dan sangat menarik dengan hasil analisis angket yang diberikan kepada peserta didik diperoleh persentase penilaian tingkat kepraktisan 90,97% dengan kriteria “Sangat Praktis”, (c) Hasil dari uji efektifitas pembelajaran menggunakan N-Gain menghasilkan rerata peningkatan (indeks Gain) di kelas ekperimen sebesar 74,98% dengan kriteria efektif dalam meningkatkan problem solving siswa di kelas XII MIPA SMAN 6 Bandar Lampung. The development of E-LKPD based on Socio Scientific Issues is motivated by students' needs to improve problem solving capability, learning quality and student learning outcomes. The research subjects were class XII students at SMA Negeri 6 Bandar Lampung. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of the research concluded that: (a) The development process carried out using the 4D development model showed that the product resulting from the development, namely E-LKPD based on socio-scientific issues on alcohol material to improve students' problem solving abilities, was feasible and valid for use based on the results of the validation questionnaire. Experts (b) The level of practicality of e-LKPD based on socio-scientific issues which was developed to improve students' problem solving abilities is very practical and very interesting. The results of the analysis of the questionnaire given to students obtained a practicality level assessment percentage of 90.97% with the criteria "Very Practical," (c) The results of the learning effectiveness test using N-Gain resulted in an average increase (Gain index) in the experimental class of 74.98% with the criteria being effective in improving students' problem solving in class XII MIPA SMAN 6 Bandar Lampung.
