Jenis penelitian ini Research and Development (R&D), pengembangan dilakukan mengacu pada teori Borg and Gall yang disederhanakan menjadi 3 tahapan. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri. Subjek dalam penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 28 peserta didik. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes yang valid dan reliabel. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t test diperoleh nilai sig = 0.001 atau kurang dari ? 0.05 dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil perhitungan uji efect size pada kemampuan HOTS diperoleh Cohen d-effect size sebesar d= 1.436 menunjukkan efek yang kuat. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa LKPD pembelajaran tematik dengan model discovery learning yang dikembangkan valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: HOTS, LKPD, discovery learning This research aims to produce a thematic LKPD product based on discovery learning that is feasible and effective in improving students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) abilities. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D), development is carried out referring to the Borg and Gall theory which is simplified into 3 stages. The research sample was class V students at state elementary schools. The subjects in the research were determined using a purposive sampling technique and 28 students were obtained. Data collection tools use valid and reliable test instruments. The data analysis technique uses the independent sample t test to obtain a value of sig = 0.001 or less than ? 0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of calculating the effect size test on HOTS ability obtained a Cohen d-effect size of d= 1.436, indicating a strong effect. Based on this research, it was concluded that the thematic learning worksheet based discovery learning that was developed was valid, practical and effective for improving the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) abilities of class V elementary school students.
