N2  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendefinisikan terkait apa itu program Credit Union (CU)
Hidayah di Desa Mandah lalu alasan Damar memilih CU sebagai pemberdayaan Perempuan
dan juga perubahan apa saja yang terjadi setelah adanya CU Hidayah di Desa Mandah.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan
dokumentasi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah partisipasi Masyarakat Desa Mandah yaitu warga
Desa Mandah khususnya Perempuan yang menjadi anggota Credit Union (CU) Hidayah,
perubahan yang dirasakan setelah adanya CU Hidayah. Data penelitian ini diperolah dari 5
(lima) orang informan yaitu Direktur Eksekutif Lembaga Advokasi Perempuan Damar, Ketua
dan Bendahara Credit Union (CU) Hidayah dan anggota Credit Union (CU) Hidayah.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Damar membuat program Credit Union (CU)
Hidayah ini untuk mendorong kepemimpinan akar rumput untuk menyuarakan hak-hak nya
dan Damar juga mempererat pemberdayaan ekonomi, merefleksikan pengorganisasian
Pendidikan Kritis pada anggota CU Hidayah gunanya untuk membuat perempuan itu punya
pengetahuan kapasitas soal kepemimpinan dan lain sebagainya. Program CU ini berdiri dari
Kerjasama dengan SEPALAS pada tahun 2002. Credit Union (CU) merupakan koperasi yang
didalamnya anggota menabung dari mereka untuk mereka, program ini sudah berdiri sekitar
7 tahun dan sekarang beranggotakan 49 orang. Damar memilih CU sebagai pemberdayaan
masyarakat di Desa Mandah karena Credit Union dapat membantu kesulitan kesejahteraan
masyarakat Desa Mandah. Menabung di Credit Union (CU) Hidayah dengan bunga kecil bisa

membantu Perempuan Desa Mandah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari melalui simpan-
pinjam lalu modalnya untuk membuat usaha. Perubahan yang dirasakan masyarakat Desa

Mandah setelah adanya CU yang tadinya banyak terlilit hutang dengan rentenir sekarang
masyarakat Desa Mandah banyak yang terbantu dengan adanya CU karena berkat CU
masyarakat Desa Mandah yang mau meminjam modal jadi lebih mudah dan juga meringankan
beban ekonomi keluarga masyarakat Desa Mandah.

This research aims to define what the Hidayah Credit Union (CU) program is in Mandah
Village, then why Damar chose CU as women's empowerment and also what changes have
occurred after the existence of Hidayah CU in Mandah Village. This research uses qualitative
methods through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The focus of this
research is the participation of the Mandah Village Community, namely Mandah Village
residents, especially women who are members of the Hidayah Credit Union (CU), the changes
felt after the existence of the Hidayah CU. This research data was obtained from 5 (five)
informants, namely the Executive Director of the Damar Women's Advocacy Institute, Chair
and Treasurer of the Hidayah Credit Union (CU) and members of the Hidayah Credit Union
(CU).

The results of this research show that Damar created the Hidayah Credit Union (CU) program
to encourage grassroots leadership to voice their rights and Damar also strengthened economic
empowerment, reflecting the organization of Critical Education for CU Hidayah members in
order to make women have capacity knowledge about leadership and so on. This CU program
was founded in collaboration with SEPALAS in 2002. Credit Union (CU) is a cooperative in
which members save for themselves. This program has been around for about 7 years and now
has 49 members. Damar chose CU as community empowerment in Mandah Village because
the Credit Union can help with the welfare difficulties of the people of Mandah Village.
Saving at the Hidayah Credit Union (CU) with a small interest rate can help Mandah Village
Women meet their daily needs through savings and loans and then use the capital to start a
business. The changes felt by the people of Mandah Village after the existence of the CU,
previously many people were in debt with loan sharks, now many of the people of Mandah
Village have been helped by the existence of the CU because thanks to the CU, the people of
Mandah Village who want to borrow capital has become easier and it has also eased the
economic burden on the families of the people of Mandah Village.
