Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh data  indeks UV di suatu wilayah dan untuk mengetahui penyerapan sinar ultraviolet dari  beberapa bahan plastik beserta atenuasinya. Alat ukur yang digunakan berupa alat UV  Light Meter model UV340B dan beberapa bahan plastik dengan ketebalan yang  digunakan adalah 80 μm dengan kandungan stabilizer 6%, 170 μm dengan  kandungan stabilizer 14% dan kaca film. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  berdasarkan sampel pengambilan data di Bandar Lampung diperoleh perbedaan  indeks UV dan hasil penyerapan sinar UV pada plastik lokal UV dan kaca film  diperoleh semakin banyak kandungan stabilizer pada plastik maka semakin baik  dalam melindungi plastik dari paparan sinar UV.    Kata kunci: plastik lokal UV, sinar UV, intensitas matahari  Research has been carried out on the absorption of ultraviolet (UV) light on several  local plastic materials in Bandar Lampung. This research aims to obtain UV index  data in an area and to determine the absorption of ultraviolet light from several plastic  materials and their attenuation. The measuring instrument used is a UV Light Meter  model UV340B and several plastic materials with a thickness of 80 μm with a  stabilizer content of 6%, 170 μm with a stabilizer content of 14% and window film.  The results of the research show that based on sample data taken in Bandar Lampung,  differences in the UV index and the results of UV light absorption on local UV  plastic and window film were obtained. The more stabilizer content in the plastic, the  better it is at protecting the plastic from exposure to UV light.    Key words: local UV plastic, UV light, solar intensity
