SUKU MADURA MENJELANG HARI RAYA IDUL
ADHA DI KECAMATAN ABUNG SEMULI
KABUPATEN LAMPUNG UTARA
%X Toron merupakan tradisi mudik atau pulang kampung yang dilakukan secara turun
temurun oleh masyarakat Madura yang berada di daerah perantauan. Seperti
masyarakat Suku Madura di Kecamatan Abung Semuli, Lampung Utara, yang
masih mempertahankan tradisi Toron sampai saat ini. Fakta unik yang terlihat
dalam proses pelaksanaan tradisi Toron, yakni tradisi ini hanya dilakukan pada
momen Idul Adha saja. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu studi
literatur, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan atau
verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat tiga faktor yang
menyebabkan masyarakat Madura di Abung semuli ini masih menjalankan tradisi
Toron yaitu faktor ekonomi, faktor sosial kemasyarakatan, dan faktor sosial
religius. Sehingga meskipun di tanah rantau Toron menjadi identitas dan
mempererat hubungan kekeluargaan serta menjadi simbol kesuksesan bagi
masyarakat Suku Madura.

Toron is a tradition of going home or returning home which has been carried out
for generations by Madurese people living in overseas areas. Like the Madurese
people in Abung Semuli District, North Lampung, who still maintain the Toron
tradition to this day. A unique fact that can be seen in the process of implementing
the Toron tradition is that this tradition is only carried out during Eid al-Adha.
The data collection techniques used were literature study, interviews, observation
and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data
presentation, drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research
show that there are three factors that cause the Madurese people in Abung Semuli
to still practice the Toron tradition, namely economic factors, social factors and
religious social factors. So, even in overseas areas, Toron has become an identity
and strengthens family relationships and has become a symbol of success for the
Madurese people.
