The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a One Group Pre-test and Post-test design. The sample consisted of 33 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included a pretest, post-test, and questionnaire. The results showed an increase in the students? average scores from 69.00 (pre-test) to 88.42 (post-test), with a difference of 19.42 points. This indicates that the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing students' reading comprehension skills. In addition to the score improvement, the study found that Discovery Learning has strengths in fostering active engagement, promoting independent learning, and creating a more enjoyable learning atmosphere. Based on the questionnaire results, most students felt more enthusiastic, active, and interested during lessons using this model. However, some weaknesses were also identified, such as the need for a longer learning process for each phase and difficulties in finding learning resources independently for some students. Therefore, the application of Discovery Learning proved effective in improving French reading comprehension skills and increasing students' enthusiasm for learning, although supportive strategies are needed to address its limitations.
