description: This study aims to analyze the growth of animal food commodity prices from  livestock, analyze the impact of price fluctuations of beef, broiler chicken, and eggs  at the consumer level on inflation, and analyze the relationship between animal  food commodity prices and inflation in Lampung Province. The analysis used is  descriptive with a quantitative approach, Vector Autoregression (VAR) model and  Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and Granger Causality. The data used are  monthly time series data for the period January 2014 to December 2023 provided  by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The results show that the commodities of beef,  broiler chicken, and eggs have a tendency to increase in price each year. The price  of broiler eggs affects the formation of inflation in the long term. Price shocks to  beef, broiler meat, and broiler eggs have an impact on suppressing the inflation  rate. The contributors to inflation are beef prices, inflation itself, the broiler eggs,  and price of broiler meat, respectively. There is a unidirectional causality from the  price of chicken, the price of eggs, and inflation to the price of beef, and from the  price of eggs to the price of chicken.  Keyword: Granger causality, inflation, livestock-derived food prices, VAR/VECM    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan harga komoditas pangan  hewani asal ternak, dampak fluktuasi harga daging sapi, daging ayam ras, dan telur  ayam ras di tingkat konsumen terhadap inflasi, serta keterkaitan antara harga  komoditas pangan hewani asal ternak dan inflasi di Provinsi Lampung. Analisis  yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif, menggunakan model analisis Vector  Autoregression (VAR) dan Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), dan Kausalitas  Granger. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series bulanan periode Januari  2014 hingga Desember 2023 yang disediakan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik. Penelitian  menunjukkan komoditas daging sapi, daging ayam ras, dan telur ayam ras memiliki  kecenderungan harga yang meningkat setiap tahunnya. Harga telur ayam ras  mempengaruhi pembentukan inflasi secara jangka panjang. Sementara inflasi  mempengaruhi harga telur ayam ras dalam jangka pendek. Guncangan harga daging  sapi, daging ayam ras, dan telur ayam ras berdampak menekan laju inflasi. Harga  daging sapi, harga telur ayam ras, inflasi, dan harga daging ayam ras secara  berturut-turut berkontribusi dalam pembentukan inflasi. Hubungan kausalitas  searah terjadi antara harga daging ayam terhadap harga daging sapi, harga telur  ayam ras terhadap harga daging sapi, inflasi terhadap harga daging sapi, serta harga  telur ayam ras terhadap harga daging ayam ras.
