%X Untuk mencapai tujuan belajar, seseorang membutuhkan motivasi yang  kuat, baik dari dalam diri maupun dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Salah satu  motivasi belajar yang sangat berpengaruh yaitu dari keluarga. Keluarga  merupakan ranah pendidikan pertama bagi anak. Sehingga penting bagi orang  tua untuk bisa mengajarkan hal-hal yang baik sejak dini. Otoritas sebagai  orang tua tentu memiliki peran penting sebagai salah satu penentu masa  depan anak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh otoritas  orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada tingkat pendidikan  menengah di desa Negara Batin, Kecamatan Kota Agung Barat, Kabupaten  Tanggamus. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan  kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan  deskriptif. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji  hipotesis Pengaruh Otoritas Orang Tua terhadap Motivasi Belajar Peserta  Didik menggunakan teknis analisis product moment person, karena data yang  digunakan adalah skala interval. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh Peserta  didik tingkat pendidikan menengah yang berada di desa Negara Batin detotal  102 siswa dengan 52 orang dari Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan 48 orang  dari Sekolah Menengah Atas. Sampel penelitian yaitu 26 orang dari Sekolah  Menengah Pertama dan 24 orang Sekolah Menengah Atas. Teknik  pengumpulan data dengan obsevasi, angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis  data digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji linier.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel otoritas  orangtua lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ttabel dengan tingkat signifikan jauh  lebih kecil 0,050 maka berdasarkan uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah  variabel Otoritas Orangtua berpengaruh positif terhadap Motivasi Belajar  pada Peserta Didik Tingkat Pendidikan Menengah di Desa Negara Batin.  Persentase dari Otoritas Orangtua terhadap Motivasi Belajar anak adalah  96.8% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 3.2% berpengaruh dari factor lain.  Kata Kunci: Otoritas Orang Tua, Motivasi Belajar    To achieve learning goals, a person needs strong motivation both from their  surroundings. One of the motivations For learning that is very influential is  from the family. Family is the first educational institution for children. So it is  important for parents to be able to teach good things from an early age.  Authority as parents certainly has an important role as one of the  determinants of a child’s future.This research aims to determine the  magnitude of the influence of parental authority on the learning motivation of  students at the secondary education level in Negara Batin village, Kota  Agung Barat District, Tanggamus Regency. The approach used in research is  a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is a descriptive  approach. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis of the  Influence of Parental Authority on Students' Learning Motivation uses  product moment person analysis techniques, because the data used is an  interval scale. The research population was all secondary education level  students in Negara Batin village in totally 102 people with 52 people from  Junior High School and 48 people from Senior High School. The research  sample was 26 people from junior high schools and 24 people from high  schools. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires and  interviews. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, linear test.  Based on the research results, it shows that the parental authority variable is  greater than the t table with a significantly smaller level of 0.050, so based on  the hypothesis test in this research, the Parental Authority variable has a  positive effect on Learning Motivation in Secondary Education Level Students  in Negara Batin Village. The percentage of parental authority on children's  learning motivation is 96.8%, while the remaining 3.2% is influenced by  other factors.  Keywords: Parental Authority, Learning Motivation
