abstract: Kemiskinan merupakan permasalahan kompleks yang masih menjadi tantangan besar dalam pembangunan di Indonesia, terutama di Papua. Meskipun Papua memiliki kekayaan sumber daya alam yang melimpah, tingkat kemiskinan di wilayah ini justru memiliki angka tertinggi jika dibandimgkan dengan wilayah Indonesia lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemiskinan di Provinsi Papua. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang didapat dari Badan Pusat Statistik dengan model analisis regresi data panel dengan model terpilih Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Periode Tahun yang digunakan Tahun 2015-2021 dengan variabel bebas pertumbuhan ekonomi, ketimpangan pendapatan dan pendidikan dan variabel terikatnya adalah kemiskinan di Provinsi Papua. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi memiliki pengaruh pisitif dan signifikan, pendidikan memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Provinsi Papua, sedangkan ketimpangan pendapatan memiliki pengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Provinsi Papua.

Poverty is a complex issue that remains a major challenge in development in Indonesia, particularly in Papua. Despite Papua's abundant natural resources, the poverty rate in this region is the highest when compared to other regions in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing poverty in Papua Province. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency using a panel data regression analysis model with the selected Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The time period used is 2015-2021, with independent variables of economic growth, income inequality, and education, and the dependent variable is poverty in Papua Province. The results of this study indicate that the economic growth variable has a positive and significant influence, education has a significant negative influence on poverty in Papua Province, while the gini ratio has a non-significant negative effect on poverty in Papua Province.
