MENGGUNAKAN KURKUMIN HASIL EKSTRAK KUNYIT (Curcuma
domestica val.) SEBAGAI LOGAM PENGOMPLEKS SECARA
SPEKTROFOTOMETRI ULTRAUNGU-TAMPAKPenelitian ini mempelajari reaksi koordinasi logam Fe(II) FeSO4.7H2O dan logam
Fe(III) FeCl3.6H2O dengan senyawa kurkumin ekstrak kunyit. Larutan induk
kurkumin, Fe(II) dan Fe(III) dengan konsentrasi 100 mM diencerkan menjadi 1
mM untuk Fe(II) dan Fe(III), 0,1 mM untuk kurkumin dianalisis dengan
menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis dengan panjang gelombang 200-
600 nm. Metode analisis yang digunakan dengan mencari λ optimum, pH
optimum, konsentrasi optimum, volume optimum, waktu kestabilan optimum, dan
aplikasi variasi. Kurkumin 0,1 mM diperoleh aborbansi sebesar 0,763 dan λ 435
nm. Logam Fe(II) 1 mM diperoleh absorbansi sebesar 0,895 dan λ 251 nm.
Logam Fe(III) 1 mM diperoleh absorbansi sebesar 0,877 dan λ 254 nm. Optimasi
pengukuran (Fe:kurkumin) pada kondisi λ optimum 454 nm, pH 3, perbandingan
stokiometri konsentrasi 1:5 (Fe(II):kurkumin), perbandingan stokiometri volume
1:2 (Fe(II):kurkumin), perbandingan stokiometri konsentrasi 1:4
(Fe(III):kurkumin), perbandingan stokiometri volume 1:1 (Fe(III):kurkumin) dan
waktu kestabilan pada menit 0-40 menit. Aplikasi variasi terhadap Fe(II) dan
Fe(III) diperoleh absorbansi sebesar 0,460 untuk Fe(II) dan 0,375 untuk Fe(III).
Uji linieritas pada Fe(II) dan Fe(III) diperoleh nilai r sebesar 0,9999. Pada uji SD
dan RSD untuk Fe(II) sebesar 0,0045 dan 0,4 %. Pada Fe(III) nilai SD dan RSD
sebesar 0,0233 dan 2,3 %. Nilai perolehan kembali pada Fe(II) sebesar 102,5%
dan untuk Fe(III) sebesar 84,9%. Hasil perhitungan dari LoD pada Fe(II)
menunjukan 0,1512; LoD instrumen sebesar 0,0152 dan pada Fe(III) sebesar
0,8011; LoD instrumen sebesar 0,0716. Nilai LoQ pada Fe(II) sebesar 0,5042;
LoQ instrumen sebesar 0,0467 berbeda dengan nilai LoQ Fe(III) menunjukan
2,6704 dan LoQ instrumen sebesar 0,2348.

abstract
The aim of this research was to learn about the coordination of metal reaction
Fe(II) FeSO4.7H2O and metal Fe(III) FeCl3.6H2O with Curcuma domestica val.
100mM main curcumin solution, Fe(II) and Fe(III) were diluted to 1 Mm
concentration for Fe(II) and Fe(III) 0,1 mM curcumin solution was analyzed by
using spectrophotometry UV-Vis method with wave length ranged from 200–600
nm. The analysis method was used to determine the optimum of wave length,
optimum pH, optimum concetration, optimum volume, optimum time-stability,
and variation of application. In curcumin 0,1 mM was achieved 0,763 absorbance
and λ 435 nm. In Metal Fe(II) 1 mM was achieved 0,895 absorbance dan λ 251
nm. Whereas in Metal Fe(III) 1 mM was achieved 0,877 absorbance dan λ 254
nm. The optimation of measurement (Fe:curcumin) on optimum λ condition was
454 nm, pH 3, the ratio of stoichiometry concentration was 1:5 (Fe(II):curcumin),
the ratio of stoichiometry volume was 1:2(Fe(II):curcumin), the ratio of
stoichiometry concentration was 1:4 (Fe(III):curcumin), the ratio of stoichiometry
volume was 1:1 (Fe(III):curcumin) and time-stablility in 0-40 minutes. The
variation application toward absorbance of Fe(II) and Fe(III) was 0,4602 and
0,3752. The linearity test toward Fe(II) and Fe(III) was achieved R2(Coefficient of
correlation 0,9999. In SD and RSD test, it was achieved 0,0045 and 0,4 % for
Fe(II). Meanwhile, SD and RSD value of Fe(III) was achieved 0,0233 dan 2,3 %.
The recovery value of Fe(II) was 102,5% and for Fe(III) was 84,9%. The
measurement result from LoD of Fe(II) was 0.1512, instrument LoD was 0.0152
and in Fe(III) was 0,8011, LoD of instrument was 0.0716. The LoQ value on
Fe(II) was 0,5042, LoQ of instrument was 0.0467. It was different compared to
the value of LoQ for Fe(III) which resulted 2,6704 and LoQ of instrument was
0.2348.
