PQ4R UNTUK MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN
KONSEP MATEMATIS DAN DISPOSISI PEMAHAMAN KONSEP
MATEMATIS SISWA SMPPenelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk pengembangan
bahan ajar himpunan, bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan disposisi
pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam materi himpunan dengan metode
PQ4R. Penelitian diawali dari studi pendahuluan berupa analisis kebutuhan,
pengembangan pembelajaran, desain produk dan instrumen dilanjutkan uji coba
tahap awal yaitu uji coba ahli, uji keterbacaan dan uji kelompok di lanjutkan
revisi produk awal selanjutnya uji coba lapangan dan terakhir penyempurnaan
produk atau revisi akhir. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.A SMP
Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang memiliki
level berpikir siswa menengah ke bawah. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan
bahwa belum ada bahan ajar dari hasil karya guru di SMP Muhammadiyah 3
Bandar Lampung. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar himpunan telah
memenuhi standar kelayakan isi, dan layak digunakan. Hasil uji coba lapangan
pada aspek kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis cukup baik terlihat dari 70
% siswa mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Rata-rata indikator disposisi
pemahaman konsep matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan.

abstract
This research development aimed to find out the development forms of teaching materials of
sets, how the ability of conceptual understanding and disposition of mathematical conceptual
understanding of students in sets material with PQ4R method. This research began with a
preliminary study in the form of a needs analysis, learning development, product design and
instruments which were followed by initial stage tests namely expert test, readability test and
groups test, then revision of the initial product, and further field trials and final product
improvement or final revision. This research subject was VII.A grade students of SMP
Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung, academic year 2015/2016, which has a medium-level
thinking. In study of the preliminary results indicated that there had been no teaching
materials from the work of teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung. Validation
results showed that teaching materials of sets already met eligibility standards of content,
and feasible for use. The results of field trials on the capability of mathematical concepts
understanding was quite good seen from the 70% of students reached the minimum
completeness criteria.. The average indicator of disposition of mathematical concepts
understanding of students had increased.
