grafik Total Organic Carbon (TOC) vs Total Generation Potential (PY)

ABSTRACT
In this study aims to characterize the carbonate rocks, clay, sandstone in the oil
and gas reservoir in the South Sumatra basin using petrophysical methods,
nuclear, and geochemistry. From the results of petrophysical analysis on samples
NF 1 and NF 2 value "Vp, σ, k, e, Vs, Vp / Vs" increases every increase in
overburden pressure and fluid saturation. In the SEM and XRD analysis contained
unknown mineral samples NF 3 that quartz and kaolinite, and on samples NF four
dominant mineral calcium carbonate. From the analysis and calculation of the
TGA, TOC, and pyrolysis obtained indications of hydrocarbons in samples of NF
3 is characterized by the TOC value of 34.38% indicates that the amount of
organics in the sample is very good, TGA showed early mature to mature at a
temperature of ± 296 - 435OC, OI 57.72 mg / g, HI 226.93 mg / g, and PY 652.45
mg / g, in the samples NF 4 52.781% TOC value indicates that the number of
organic both in the sample, from the analysis of the pyrolysis on a graph Total
organic Carbon (TOC) vs. Total Generation Potential (PY) tends to the presence
of oil and gas that are categorized as excellent, the HI vs Tmax chart that the
samples classified as type II kerogen.
