i ABSTRAK PENGARUH GAYA KOMUNIKASI EQUALITARIAN SEKRETARIS DEWAN TERHADAP MOTIVASI KERJA STAF SEKRETARIAT DEWAN PERWAKILAN RAKYAT DAERAH KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TENGAH Oleh ALI HASAN Dalam melaksanakan kepemimpinan pada sebuah organisasi, setiap pemimpin tidak bisa melepaskan diri dari proses komunikasi organisasi. Pada umumnya tujuan komunikasi di dalam suatu organisasi adalah untuk meningkatkan kinerja para bawahan yang dimulai dengan menumbuhkan motivasi kerja mereka. Kemampuan berkomunikasi berkaitan dengan gaya komunikasi yang digunakan. Gaya komunikasi (communication style) adalah seperangkat perilaku antarpribadi yang terspesialisasi dan digunakan dalam suatu situasi tertentu. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: “Berapa besarkah pengaruh gaya komunikasi equalitarian yang digunakan Sekretaris Dewan terhadap motivasi kerja Staf Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten Lampung Tengah?” Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya komunikasi equalitarian yang digunakan Sekretaris Dewan terhadap motivasi kerja Staf Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif, dengan mengambil sampel yaitu para Staf Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten Lampung Tengah yang berjumlah 55 pegawai. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik Analisa data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rumus Regresi Linier. Hasil penelitian yang didasarkan pada tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya komunikasi equalitarian Sekretaris Dewan terhadap motivasi kerja Staf Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten Lampung Tengah adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Besarnya nilai motivasi kerja Staf Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten Lampung Tengah yang dipengaruhi oleh gaya komunikasi equalitarian Sekretaris Dewan adalah 62,7%. (2) Besarnya nilai motivasi kerja Staf Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten Lampung Tengah yang tidak dipengaruhi oleh gaya komunikasi equalitarian Sekretaris Dewan adalah 37,3%. (3) Hipotesis penelitian diterima karena pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan nilai T lebih besar dari nilai T 7.172 > 2,000. Generally the purpose of communication at organization is to improve performance the staff, it begin from increasing their motivation. The communication ability related with communication style, as a set of interpersonal behavior that specialized in specialist situation. The formula of this research is: “How the influence of equalitarian communication style by Secretary of Legislative Officer toward staff’s work motivation at Legislative Council in Centre Lampung District?” The objective of this research is to descript the influence of equalitarian communication style by Secretary of Legislative Officer toward staff’s work motivation at Legislative Council in Centre Lampung District. Research type which applied in this research is descriptive, with taking sample that is all staffs at Legislative Council in Centre Lampung District amounting to 55 staffs. Data collecting technique conducted with questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique conducted by Linier Regression formula. The result of this research based the research objective that to descript the influence of equalitarian communication style by Secretary of Legislative Officer toward staff’s work motivation at Legislative Council in Centre Lampung District are: (1) Equalitarian communication style by Secretary of Legislative Officer that influenced toward staff’s work motivation at Legislative Council in Centre Lampung District with value equal to 62,7%. (2) Equalitarian communication style by Secretary of Legislative Officer that not influenced toward staff’s work motivation at Legislative Council in Centre Lampung District with value equal to 37,3% (3) The hypothesis of this research is received, with a comparetion T 2,000. iv value > T Table that 7.172 >
