Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menurunkan kandungan serat kasar dan Neutral Detergent Fiber sebagai pakan alternatif pengganti hijauan yang berkualitas baik ; (2) mengetahui perlakuan penambahan urea, jamur Phanerochaete chrysosporium, dan Trameters sp terhadap pendegradasian serat kasar dan Neutral Detergent Fiber pelepah sawit sebagai pakan hijauan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Maret--Agustus 2011 bertempat di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lampung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Ransum perlakuan yang diberikan adalah : P0 : pelepah daun sawit tanpa penambahan atau kontrol; P1 : pelepah daun sawit + urea; P2 : pelepah daun sawit + inokulum Phanerochaete chrysosporium; P3: pelepah daun sawit + inokulum Trametes sp. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam pada taraf nyata 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji kontras ortogonal pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian fermentasi pelepah daun sawit menunjukan bahwa penambahan urea, Phanerochaete chrysosporium, dan Trametes sp. pada fermentasi pelepah daun sawit tidak mempengaruhi kandungan NDF, tetapi mempengaruhi serat kasar pelepah daun sawit terfermentasi. Kandungan serat kasar pelepah daun sawit terfermentasi terendah jika dilakukkan penambahan baik Phanerochaete chrysosporium maupun Trametes sp. Abstract This research intends to: (1) decrease the contain of crude fIber and Neutral Detergent Fiber as alternative feeding of pasture substitutian which has good quality : (2) know the treatmen of the adding of urea, Phanerocahaete Crysosporium and Trametes sp. To dagradation of crude feber and neutral detergent fiber of leaves of oil palm as pasture feeding. This research was held on March up to Agustus 2011, located in laboratory of Nutrition and Animal Feeding Departement of Animal Husbandry Faculty of Agrikulture University of Lampung. This research was done by using Completely Rendomized Design wich four treatment and theree repetitionns. The fedding treatment given is; P0 : leaves stem of oil palm without adding or controlling ; P1 : leaves stem of oil palm + urea; P2 : leaves steem of oil palm + Phanerochaete chrysosporium inoculum; P3 : leaves stem of oil palm + Tremes sp. Inoculum the gotten data was analyzed by Variance analisis on real level of 5 % and continued by Ortogonal Contrast tes on real level of 5%. The result of this research of leaves stem farmantation of oil palm showed that the adding of urea, Phanerochaete chrysosporium and Tremetes sp. on leaves steem farmantation of oil palm dont influence to the contain of NDF, but influence to the crude fibber of fermented leaves stem of oil palm. The contain of crude fiber of formanted leaves stem of oil palm will be the lowest ane if either Phanerocahaete Chrysosporium or Trametes sp. Was added
