ABSTRAK REPRESENTASI FEMINISME DALAM SERIAL “THE GREAT QUEEN SEONDEOK” Oleh DIAH MANIKAM T. Feminisme merupakan gerakan pembebasan dari ketertindasan dan ketidak-berpihakan kultur masyarakat terhadap perempuan. Sementara itu gender mempunyai konotasi psikologis, sosial, kultural yang membedakan antara pria dan wanita dalam menjalankan peran-peran maskulinitas dan feminitas tertentu dimasyarakat. Film yang menjadi objek penelitian penulis kali ini adalah serial drama “The Great Queen Seondeok”. dengan rumusan masalah, bagaimanakah gambaran perilaku peran dan posisi perempuan yang tercermin dalam serial “The Great Queen Seondeok”, bila ditinjau dari konteks pemerintahan dan keluarga? dan bagaimanakah bentuk representasi nilai-nilai feminisme yang tertuang dalam serial “The Great queen Seondeok”?. Maka, tujuan penulis melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan gambaran perilaku peran dan posisi perempuan dalam konteks keluarga dan konteks pemerintahan pada serial “The Great Queen Seondeok” dan mengetahui bentuk representasi nilai-nilai feminisme yang tertuang dalam serial “The Great Queen Seondeok” . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis semiotika, yang dikonsentrasikan pada kode-kode televisi John Fiske sebagai pisau analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif. Serial drama “The Great Queen Seondeok” ini dikonstruksikan melalui kode-kode televisi John Fiske yang meliputi 3 level, yakni : Level realitas, level representasi dan level ideologi yang mencakup : Penampilan, perilaku, gerakan dialog dan nilai feminisme. Adapun temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah bentuk subordinasi yang terjadi pada perempuan (istri yang tidak dapat melawan keputusan suami), dicampakan setelah harus melahirkan dan tidak mendapatkan pengakuan sebagai istri yang syah. Terdapat juga peran domestik yang terkonstruksi melalui, sosok Mishill sebagai selir yang melakukan pekerjaan rumah tangga dan melayani kebutuhan biologis para Raja. Sementara dalam konteks pemerintahan ketika perempuan sudah memiliki status dan kedudukan yang tinggi di masyarakat, secara otomatis perempuan akan terangkat derajatnya. Hal tersebut tergambar pada sosok Ratu Deokman yang memiliki kekuasaan penuh untuk menetapkan serangkaian peraturan negara yang harus dipatuhi oleh seluruh rakyatnya, baik laki-laki ataupun perempuan. Wujud representasi niali-nilai feminisme dalam serial “The Great Queen Seondeok” ini meliputi Hubungan sosial timbal balik yang diperjuangkan Mishill, kemandirian ekonomi yang dimiliki Deokman, perubahan sosial yang dilakukan Mishill dan Deokman demi mencapai kesetaraan dan mewujudkan keadilan bagi kaum perempuan dan kekuatan politik yang dimiliki Mishill dan Deokman dalam mengkampanyekan hak-haknya untuk memiliki kedudukan dalam ranah politik dan pemerintahan. Feminism is a movement of liberation from oppression and impartiality cultured society towards women. While it has a connotation of psychological gender, social, cultural difference between men and women in carrying out the roles of masculinity and femininity in a particular community. The film is the object of the author of this study is a serial drama "The Great Queen Seondeok". the formulation of the problem, how is the picture of behavior and the role of women's position as reflected in the series "The Great Queen Seondeok", when viewed from the context of government and family? forms of representation and how feminist values contained in the series "The Great Queen Seondeok"?. Thus, the authors aim to do this study was to clarify the picture of the behavior of the role and position of women within the family context and the context of governance on the series "The Great Queen Seondeok" and know the form of representation of the values of feminism are contained in the series "The Great Queen Seondeok". This study uses semiotic analysis, which concentrates on codes of television John Fiske as a knife analysis with exploratory qualitative approach. Serial drama "The Great Queen Seondeok" is constructed through codes of television John Fiske which includes three levels, namely: the level of reality, the level of representation and ideological level that includes appearance, behavior, movement and the feminist dialogue. The findings in this study is a form of subordination that occurs in women (a wife who can not fight the decision of the husband), dicampakan after birth and should not get recognition as a legitimate wife. There is also constructed through a domestic role, as a concubine Mishill figure who did the housework and serve the biological needs of the Kings. While in the context of the government when women have high status and position in society, women will be raised automatically rank. This is illustrated in the figure of the Queen Deokman who has full authority to establish a set of state regulations that must be obeyed by all citizens, whether male or female. Niali-form representation of feminism in the series "The Great Queen Seondeok" encompasses the social relationships of reciprocity which fought Mishill, owned Deokman economic independence, social change and Deokman Mishill done to achieve equality and justice for women and political power Mishill owned and Deokman in the campaign of his rights to have a position in the realm of politics and government.
