Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

ABSTRACT Vocabulary is one important part in learning one language, because without vocabulary it is difficult to communicate with other. Nowadays, most students can not speak English well because they are confused with the words that they want to use since they have limited vocabulary. This happens since they are not encouraged by teachers with various and interesting ways of teaching to overcome the problem. The aim of this research was to investigate the use of cartoon video during teaching vocabulary, precisely to see whether cartoon video can increase students’ English verb achievement, students’ activities, and teacher’s performance in teaching learning process. The subject of this research is the third grade students of SD BPK Penabur Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2011/2012. In this classroom action research, the English teacher of SD BPK Penabur Bandar Lampung taught the students, and the researcher observed the students and the teacher. The indicators of the research are concerned with the learning product and learning process. The result of the test are 81.81% students got score 60 or more in vocabulary test, 82.32% students were active during teaching learning process, and the teacher finally got score 83.2 after the second cycle was done. In line with the data, the researcher concludes that Cartoon Video is applicable in increasing students’ English verb achievement, students’ activities and teacher’s performance.
