Abstract
Selain shalat, menghafal surat-surat pendek Al-Quran merupakan hal yang wajib dilakukan bagi umat muslim. Hal ini penting untuk ditanamkan pada setiap generasi terutama pada masa kanak-kanak agar tercipta manusia yang taat beragama. Anak usia dini memiliki karakteristik yang beragam, maka tenaga pengajar di TK harus menyusun dan memilih suatu strategi dalam mengajarkan hafalan surat-surat pendek secara cermat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan strategi apa yang diterapkan guru dalam mengajarkan hafalan surat-surat pendek serta mendeskripsikan pilihan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal guru kepada murid. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori instruksional dan teori komunikasi antar pribadi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan strategi yang digunakan guru dalam mengajarkan murid adalah dengan menggunakan audio dan metode menghafal wahdah (perayat) serta metode jama’ (bersama-sama) yang didukung dengan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal antara guru dengan murid yaitu bahasa yang digunakan guru, gerakan tangan, ekspresi wajah, kontak mata, paralanguage, dan jarak fisik. Kata kunci : Hafalan Surat-surat Pendek, Anak Usia Dini, Teori Instruksional, Teori Komunikasi Antar Pribadi Abstrak Bahasa Inggris Memorizing surah in Al-Quran is one of the important things must be done by every single moeslem besides pray. It is important things to be learned by every generation of human being in daily life. The students have different characteristics. On the other hand, the teachers in kindergarten should arrange and choose the perfect strategy to teach the surah in Al-Quran. The purpose of this research is to get the information and to describe the implementation strategy by the teachers and to know the way of learning by using verbal and nonverbal communication from the teachers to their students. This research used a qualitative approached with descriptive method. The basic theory of this research are instructional theory and interpersonal communication theory. The result of this research showed that the strategy that teachers use in learning are by listening audio, memorizing the surah, and jama’ methods which support with verbal and non verbal communications between teachers and students such as body gestures, expression, eye contact, paralanguage and physically contact.
