Abstrak

Proudly, speaking is difficult language skill to master. This is so because it involves vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, grammar, and comprehension. Speaking is one of oral communication that is learned by students from Elementary School until Senior High School. In speaking, the students in Elementary School learn how to pronounce the words in English, learn how to describe person, thong, place, and introduce themselves fluently. The problem is, most of the students in Elementary School especially in MIN Panjang expressed are difficulties to introduce themselves and describe something in English. ability significantly. This research was quantitative research. The research design was one group pretest posttest design. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Panjang Bandar Lampung and the population was the sixth grade students of MIN Panjang. The class consisted of 20 students. The data were collected through recording and analyzed by using repeated T-Test to examine the significant incr was a significant increase from pre test to post test after being taught by picture media. The increase is from 58.2 up to 78.2. In this research all aspects of speaking were increase; pronunciation 11.2 up to 15.1, vocabulary 12.2 up to 17.1, fluency 11.3 up to 14.7, comprehension 12 up to 14.9, and grammar 12.5 up to 16. The result of the computation 0.000 < 0.05), the value indicates that the numbers represents the significance.
