Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sribhawono semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 198 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam 6 kelas. Adapun sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII 1 dan VIII 3 yang dipilih dengan cara purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dan ketuntasan belajar siswa pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi dari pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif kooperatif tipe group investigation berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.
