Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis (1) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 1 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 2 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 1 pada mata pelajaran geografi di MAN 1 Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 1 dan kelas X IPS 2 2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 1 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 2 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 1 pada mata pelajaran geografi di MAN 1 Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif, talking stick, hasil belajar geografi abstract This research was aimed at finding out (1) the difference between the students’ achievement at class X Social 1 that used cooperative learning model of talking stick type and the students’ achievement at class X Social 2 that used conventional learning model, (2) the effect of using cooperative learning model of talking stick type on the students’ learning achievement at class X Social 1 of Geography subject at MAN 1 Pesisir Tengah Krui In Pesisir Barat District. Quasi experiment was used in this study. The populations were the students at class X Social 1 and 2. To analyze the data, T-Test and linear regression analysis were used. The results showed that (1) there was a difference between the students’ achievement at class X Social 1 that used cooperative learning model of talking stick type and the students’ achievement at class X Social 2 that used conventional learning model, (2) there was an effect of using cooperative learning model of talking stick type on the students’ learning achievement at class X Social 1 of Geography subject at MAN 1 Pesisir Tengah Krui In Pesisir Barat District.
