Abstract
This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of the implementation of guided-invention method towards mathematical conceptual understanding. This research design was post-test only control design. The population of this research was all students of grade X of SMK YPT Pringsewu in academic year of 2013/2014 which was distributed into fifteen class, while this research samples were students of grade X of TKJ 3 as experimental class and grade X of TKR 1 as control class which were selected by purposive random sampling. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of guided-invention method was effective viewed from students mathematical conceptual understanding. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk me-ngetahui efektivitas penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMK YPT Pringsewu tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam lima belas kelas, sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TKJ 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X TKR 1 sebagai kelas kontrol, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive random sampling. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.
