Supervisory duties madrassas/supervisory duties Islam is implementing the managerial control and academic units that include education program compilation of control, guidance on implementation and head teachers madrasah, monitoring of eight national education standards, assessment and head teachers madrasah, coaching and training professional teacher, evaluation of supervision program implementation, and performance in the special task supervisory. The aim of research is to describe and analyze the recruitment supervisor madrassas, organization, competence and performance of supervisors madrassas. Descriptive qualitative research method that is based on the theory of phenomenology. Informants in this study are numbered 14 people, including heads of educators and educational section 1, the Chairman of the Working Group of the Supervision of Bandar Lampung by 1 person, Supervisor madrassas as many as 6 people, 3 Principals and Teachers of Madrasah many as 3 people. The results were that: (1) Recruitment Supervisor at the Ministry of religious Madrasah Bandarlampung mapping based on the formation of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Lampung Province, the ministry's executive committee religion that city, in the groove recruitment was also clear. Ministry of State religion in implementing recruitment is transparent and accountable; 2) Madrassas Supervisory Organization has had a clear coordination between the members runs a good watchdog, watchdog group leaders working with supervisors went well, and there is a clear division of tasks. Coordination work group leader to head the Ministry of Religious watchdog Bandarlampung also going well; 3) Supervisory competence madrasas which includes personality, managerial supervision, academic supervision, evaluation of educational, social and supervisors because they have possessed a mean experienced and the conditions are fulfilled all the regulatory, research and development competences it needs to be improved because of the lack of knowledge about the research supervisor and development and also lack of research activities; 4) Supervisory Performance Madrassas already running duties and functions in accordance with applicable regulations, Total supervisors in terms of the amount need to be added, as well as some of the competencies that should be developed and should receive more attention, for example competence development and research; 5) Human Resources supervisor madrasas need to be improved in terms of quantity and quality should receive training appropriate to the duties of a supervisor madrassas. Pengawas madrasah/pengawas Agama Islam dalam melaksanakan tugas pengawasan akademik dan manajerial pada satuan pendidikan meliputi penyusunan program pengawasan, pelaksanaan pembinaan terhadap guru dan kepala madrasah, pemantauan pelaksanaan delapan standar nasional pendidikan, penilaian kinerja guru dan kepala madrasah, pembimbingan dan pelatihan profesional guru, evaluasi hasil pelaksanaan program pengawasan, dan pelaksanaan tugas kepengawasan di daerah khusus. Tertujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis rekrutmen pengawas madrasah, organisasi pengawas madrasah, kompetensi pengawas madrasah dan kinerja pengawas madrasah. Metode penelitian yaitu kualitatif deskriptif yang didasari teori fenomenologi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berjumlah 14 orang yang terdiri dari kepala seksi tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan 1 orang, Ketua Kelompok Kerja Pengawas Kota Bandar Lampung sebanyak 1 orang, pengawas Madrasah sebanyak 6 orang, Kepala Madrasah 3 orang dan guru Madrasah 3 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; 1) Rekrutmen Pengawas Madrasah pada Kementerian Kota Bandarlampung berdasar pada formasi pemetaan Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Provinsi Lampung, sebagai pelaksana yaitu panitia kemenag kota, alur rekrutmen juga sudah jelas. Kementerian Kota dalam melaksanakan rekrutmen bersifat transparan dan bertanggung jawab; 2) Organisasi Pengawas Madrasah telah mempunyai koordinasi yang jelas di antara anggota pengawas berjalan baik, pengawas dengan ketua pengawas berjalan baik, serta ada pembagian tugas yang jelas. Koordinasi ketua pengawas dengan kepala Kementerian Agama Kota Bandarlampung juga berjalan baik; 3) kompetensi pengawas madrasah yang meliputi kepribadian, manajerial, akademik, evaluasi pendidikan, dan sosial telah dimiliki pengawas karena mereka rerata berpengalaman serta syarat-syarat pengawas sudah terpenuhi semua, pada kompetensi penelitian dan pengembangan perlu ditingkatkan hal ini karena minimnya pengetahuan pengawas tentang penelitian dan pengembangan dan juga minimnya kegiatam-kegiatan tentang penelitian; 4) Kinerja Pengawas Madrasah sudah menjalankan tupoksinya sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku, Jumlah pengawas dari segi jumlah perlu ditambah, serta beberapa kompetensi yang perlu dikembangkan dan perlu mendapat perhatian lebih misalnya kompetensi pengembangan dan penelitian; 5) Sumber Daya Manusia pengawas madrasah dalam hal kuantitas perlu ditingkatkan dan kualitas perlu mendapat pelatihan-pelatihan yang sesuai dengan tupoksi seorang pengawas madrasah.
