Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

ABSTRAK INDONESIA: Kualitas air memegang peranan penting dalam kegiatan budidaya akuaponik. Salah satu unsur yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air yakni Total Organic Carbon (TOC). Sumber karbon di kolam berasal dari hasil respirasi dan dekomposisi bahan organik. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran tanaman kangkung dalam sistem akuaponik terhadap konsentrasi karbon serta mengetahui hubungan konsentrasi karbon dengan kelimpahan dan keragaman fitoplankton. Perlakuan terdiri dari 10, 20, dan 30 batang tanaman kangkung serta tanpa menggunakan tanaman kangkung. Data dianalisis menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tanaman kangkung tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pengurangan konsentrasi karbon. Terdapat hubungan korelasi positif lemah antara konsentrasi karbon dengan kelimpahan dan keragaman fitoplankton. Kata kunci : Total Organic Carbon (TOC), akuaponik, fitoplankton, kelimpahan, keragaman. ABSTRAK INGGRIS: Water quality plays an important role in aquaponic aquaculture. One of the elements that can affect the water quality is Total Organic Carbon (TOC). Carbon source in the pond derived from the respiration and decomposition of organic matter. The study was conducted to determine the role of kale plant to carbon concentration on aquaponic system and to understand the relationship between carbon concentration and phytoplankton abudance as well as diversity. The treatments consists of 10, 20, and 30 stems of kale plant and without using kale plant. The data was analyzed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the used of kale plant has not significant effect to the carbon concentration. There was a weak positive correlation between the concentration of carbon in phytoplankton’s abundance and diversity.
