Abstrak
The purpose of this research is to find out whether the spline truncated method depends on the distribution of error. Simulation data from trigonometry function with different error distribution are used. The result of this research shows that the distribution of error affected the estimation of spline truncated function. The spline function is estimated better when error is normally distributed than nonnormally distributed. Keywords: Nonparametric Regression, Spline Truncated, Error. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah metode spline truncated bergantung pada distribusi galat. Simulasi data dari fungsi trigonometri dengan menggunakan distribusi galat yang berbeda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa distribusi galat memengaruhi estimasi spline truncated. Fungsi spline diperkirakan lebih baik ketika galat berdistribusi normal dibandingkan galat berdistribusi tidak normal. Kata kunci: Regresi Nonparametrik, Spline Truncated, Galat.
