Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari pengaruh kondisi gelap – terang terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gabus Channa striata. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap mengguna-kan lima perlakuan A (12T;12G), B (9T;15G), C (6T;18G), D (3T;21G), dan E (0T;24G) dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kondisi gelap – terang berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gabus. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan D yang menghasilkan nilai tertinggi pertumbuhan panjang (53,70±0,557 mm), pertumbuhan panjang harian (1,19±0,012 mm/hari), dan kelangsungan hidup 97% Kata kunci : Ikan gabus, kelangsungan hidup, kondisi gelap - terang, pertumbuhan STUDY ON GROWTH AND SURVIVAL RATE OF JUVENILE SNEAKHEAD FISH Channastriata (Bloch, 1793) IN DARK AND BRIGHT CONDITIONS This research aimed to study the influences conditions of dark – bright on growth and survival rate of juvenile snakehead fish (Channa striata). This research used a completely randomized design with five treatments, A (12B;12D), B (9B;15D), C (6B;18D), D (3B;21D), and E (0B;24D) with three replications. The research showed that the effect of conditions dark – bright has a significant effect on growth and survival of juvenile snakehead fish. The best treatment found in treatment D, that the resulted highest value oflength growth (53,70±0,557mm), daily length growth (1,19±0,012mm/day), and survival rate of 97%.
